Am I the only copywriter who doesn't really do formal proposals?

Actually, prior to calling @Fidomobile I had a 45-minute call with @RBC, and they were phenomenal.

Just got YELLED at by a customer service rep when I asked for a refund for services not rendered. 🙄 I've heard bad things about Rogers, but @Fidomobile...this really takes the cake! Why is customer service so bad in Canada??

One of my pet peeves in the freelance copywriting space: Writers hiring other writers on a "project" or "freelance" basis, requiring them to be available during standard work hours. That's....an employee. Without an employee salary or benefits.

Every now and then, I get a project that I'm beyond excited about. Then I spook myself because I want to do a brilliant job, and I worry I won't be able to. So I avoid and I procrastinate... until it's crunch time. Then I sit down, do the work, and surprise myself.

@verocopyco @atgarone In 2023 they had operating revenues of $364.5 Billion and $96.2 Billion in net income. Current assets on the balance sheet exceed $1 Trillion, $167B of which is cash. Across the group of companies they employ ~400,000 people. Not sure how much more "real" it gets ;)

@verocopyco Honestly, I thought I had a fake/spam typo URL when I typed it in. I typed it again and it loaded. Then I searched on Google and it was the top site.

I asked ChatGPT to tell me some jokes. It did a pretty bad job, so I told it: "You're not good at this." To which it replied: "Fair enough! Humor can be subjective." Okayyy, lol.
