@itzTizzleYT Hollow Knight isn't a live service. Player count doesn't matter for it; only sales do. Marathon, on the other hand, relies on players continuing to play the game, which is why low player counts are an issue for it.

There are SO many amazing video games out there w low player counts. Hollow Knight took years to gain in popularity. Does that mean it is bad because it had low player pops most of its life? No, the game is incredible. Marathon's metrics have little to do with the game's quality

@sweltercro83518 There's a lot of characters in OW that don't have guns though: Anran, Mizuki, Vendetta, Genji, Brigitte, Doom, Freja, Hanzo, Kiri, Rein, Venture, Wuyang.

One thing I’ll give Rivals over Overwatch is that it actually has more than two melee characters in its roster. Like damn we have so many gun characters already what’s this one gonna do differently

@ethangach Bungie decided to make a game for the 1% of players in a niche genre, charge $40 for it, and in the process they killed the game they could've improved all this time that would have at least quadruple this player count if it was given the proper care

@bbolliee New player experience is garbage, solo play is a pain (at least at first), and it takes way too long to understand what/why/how you're supposed to do anything. Most players dropped out of the game after the first 3 hours of nothingness

They should relegate Bowser and Bowser Jr. to cameos in Mario Movie 3 and just have DeVito as Wario and Steve Buscemi as Waluigi as the main villains with big “get rich quick” ambitions who rip off Mario and Luigi and are the exact opposites of them in every way.
