I’ve actually looked into this.
footprint biometrics are mostly used in:
- forensic podiatry (criminal investigations)
- smart floor tech (footstep biometrics for security)
unfortunately your feet change over time much more than fingerprints or faces, so we probably won’t see Apple FootID anytime soon, but it would be fun to see someone build it.
