Stanford is kinda crazy because as a CS undergrad this term you’re choosing between: - CS336: 0 to hero on frontier model training - CS224R taught by Chelsea Finn (founder of Pi) - CS231N taught by Fei Fei Li (Imagenet, WorldLabs CEO) - CS221M Mech Interp Intro taught with Goodfire And a host of personal podcasts delivered by $T CEOs.
Jesse Mu@jayelmnop

protip for stanford undergrads: beware the classes with guest speaker lineups that read like AI coachella. you’re basically paying $5k to listen to a live podcast series.

💡 Design Concept: Animated Icons What if your home screen could tell you when Claude is done thinking, without opening the app? With the rise of AI apps such as @claudeai comes the reality of long-running tasks that take longer to execute than an average user spends on-screen without switching. As AI agents become adept at running autonomous tasks, there comes a need to easily monitor when they’re done, or when they need our support. Why then, not create animated icons that play when a task is executing, and become static when a task has finished or paused? This way, we will be able to keep track of when to log back into an app to view results of a task, without having to constantly click into these different apps. We can monitor progress directly on our home screen. This animation is inspired by Claude’s existing in-app ‘thinking’ animation, but adapted to the form-factor of an app icon. This feels like an interaction pattern that will matter more as AI apps take on longer, more autonomous tasks. Would love to hear thoughts from the community — and from the teams building these products. @claudeai @anthropicai @jenny_wen @kyleturman @joellewenstein @mikeyk #MotionDesign #ProductDesign #InteractionDesign #AIDesign

Airbnb CEO @bchesky says more AI founders should be starting consumer businesses. "I'm on the board of Y Combinator. 87% of companies are enterprise companies per batch." "Enterprise is awesome... but the biggest prize is consumer. That is what's going to reach daily life for billions of people." "Think about all the little parts of daily life that are kind of annoying. Pay attention to whoever's in your life and ask: 'How could their daily life be a little bit easier?'" From his appearance on the show in January.

I officially founded my first startup called Komorebi Labs LLC! Komorebi (木漏れ日) is a Japanese word describing sunlight that filter through leaves of trees.

how to be a guy who doesn’t have a +1 and still get invited to the party: - 6’0 or above - from a small town (optimally, midwest) - dark sense of humor - brown hair - blue eyes - watches jeopardy - drinks bubble tea - favorite food is ethiopian - depressed - i’m secretly in love with them

Don’t worry… the stanford grad you tore your hair out trying to compete with for admissions is also strapping a phone to their head trying to make the next big egocentric data set to sell to a robot company The playing field was always level

NEW: Clair introduces the first noninvasive, continuous hormone tracker. • Tracks estrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH, and PdG in real time • Uses wrist-based biosignals instead of blood draws or test strips • Confirms ovulation by detecting post-ovulation progesterone rise • Connects hormone patterns to sleep, energy, mood, and training It brings hormone monitoring into the wearable category for the first time.
