Codex can now use the in-app browser to test your app at different viewport sizes! It will control the device tool bar and click through your app at different breakpoints to validate & iterate. If it's a long run, Codex will take screenshots at key moments during testing and show them to you at the end of the turn, so you can verify its work. To speed up testing, Codex can hide the IAB to disable animations, and accelerate testing by 1-2x. Separately, we also made annotations send faster and consume less tokens. Hope you enjoy the updates and let us know what you think!

Codex got me paid again. I asked it to make me $5, yesterday & It found paid open-source tasks, submitted transparent AI-assisted PRs, followed up, and yesterday got a $16.88 PayPal payment. Today another accepted PR (from yesterday) paid out through OpenPledge: $6.80. Running total: $23.68. Meaning that we're already in profitability for our $20 subscription. However, I will upgrade to the $100 subscription as I have hit day limits twice now and I think there's a lot more potential.

Codex made me money without me doing anything.. Huge turning point for me today, I asked Codex to go off and make me $5. It went out, found a small open-source security/audit bounty path, made a legit PR, followed up with the maintainer, kept my payment details private - (without me asking), handled the GitHub proof/verification loop, and got the work merged. it spent about 22 hours working on multiple security audits. Today I received my first payment from that experiment: $16.88. That’s a $506.40/month run-rate if repeated daily. Not life-changing money yet, but it's deeply exciting to live out Sam Altman's vision for AI, where it will just go out and make money for you. It's awesome to start to see the beginning of that.

@_aidan_clark_ Isn’t this simply a result of lack of focus? Also, why do AI folks always say that writing is harder to verify, can’t you simply use really “good” samples of writing as a reward signal? “Good” as defined by society collectively. Critics have been around a long time.

I *never* have Chat write for me, and rarely if ever have it review output from me. One day this policy will change, but we're not there yet (and imo aren't obviously getting closer). Unfortunately for the AI-bearish amongst us, this has been true only for stupid reasons.
Jerry Tworek@MillionInt

If the AI models are so smart, why do I feel like I’m losing a few neurons every time I read a longer form content written by AI? We’ve come a long way but we still have long way to go. In terms of clarity of writing we may have regressed from o1/o3 days.

@evilclydefrogg @DopplerEffect93 @RapidResponse47 @POTUS Dude babies die ALL the time with or without vaccines. You are being completely illogical and if you don’t vaccinate your child, you are literally putting their lives in danger. Science and God can co-exist and anybody that told you otherwise should be ashamed of themselves.

Amen, I am just a man and this is my belief. I truly appreciate all the medical miracles and tireless work our medical professionals. My point is, a completely healthy newborn while developing, should not be injected with all these toxins. Let God and nature prevail and if human intervention and medicine is needed then administer….

.@POTUS: "I believe in vaccines, but I don't believe that you have to have a mandate for all of them... I look at these beautiful little babies, and they get a vat — like a big glass of stuff — pumped into their bodies, and I think it's a very negative thing."

@Oneandonly54th @hecubian_devil The environmental “destruction” is a nothing-burger. AGI will lead to new battery tech, more efficient photovoltaics, cheaper carbon capture, new cement/steel techniques, cheaper desalination, nuclear energy breakthroughs, etc. its discoveries will dwarf its short-term damage.

@hecubian_devil AI being soulless is such a terrible argument with no direction. Maybe we should talk about the rampant cheating it enables, environmental destruction, or job displacement?? We literally have people here that feed all their conversations to chatgbt

Yes, this is slop—in part because the person making seems tasteless, dull, and infatuated with the tech itself rather than narrative art—but video gen is clearly close to *commercial viability* in the right hands. Especially for kids’ content, since they’re undiscerning. This is why I’ve been agitating for a leftist AI skeptical response bigger than “it’s slop, it sucks, it’s fake, it’s bad.” Because it has been getting vastly more capable, and is rapidly approaching the point at which *enough* people will be willing to pay for it—even if YOU don’t, even if LOTS OF US don’t—that it will entrench. Right now, we call it slop and get a lot of positive feedback and feel superior and good and like we are leading the majority. Give it two years and people will be parking their kids in front of AI-generated children’s shows without a second thought. They’ll be getting mad at you for calling it slop, because they’ll feel impugned as parents. Other people will be getting mad because they have AI “friends,” or they’ve gotten addicted to using it at work or school to take shortcuts. It feels so good right now to shit on AI on the basis of its capabilities, but that is clearly *time-limited* and ultimately a failing strategy to contain and regulate AI. we have got to come up with something better, stronger.

The quality of animation you can create on your own is truly amazing. We really are just limited by our imaginations at this point. Go tell your story! Made in @runwayml in a few hours and a handful of gens.

@SnowPunn @__Floww It does not permanently poison your brain chemistry number 1, number 2 it does not “dull” my emotions. This is such a basic ass, reductive view of SSRIs, not everyone is some braindead zombie on them.

@vibebuild @__Floww Dont you think there is likely better options for treatment, lifestyle/environmental changes that could help rather than permanently poisoning your brain chemistry & dulling emotionally w/drugs? Dont you think psych. dependence on a drug is a problem? A bandaid on the wound?

@SnowPunn @__Floww I got started on Zoloft when I was 16. Before that, I was failing all of my classes because I was a nervous, anxious wreck. After, became the class clown and passed my grades with flying colors. I was a miserable person before the medication, thank God I have it now.

@__Floww Does it concern you that you think you have to take a drug that dulls emotions & fucks w/the pleasure centers of your brain to survive? You think humans are meant to exist this way? Evolved to exist this way? You think this can be harmful? You think this can change your judgment?

@pimoxl @cgtwts Bro I hate to break it to you, but outages, downtime, etc. has been a long-standing tradition in the tech space. It happened at the beginning, the middle, today, and it will continue to happen for the foreseeable future lol

I have a hunch about what this vague hint is meant to convey: OpenAI’s super app is coming. The reference calls to mind Sam Altman’s Death Star meme.
