this guy just cracked how to get 10x more out of Codex
I tested his method and it completely changes how the agent works for you
the mistake everyone makes: using Codex like a chatbot. prompt, wait, clarify, re-prompt, repeat
here's how it actually works:
1. write one detailed task doc with every requirement, context, and the final vision
2. fire one command: "accomplish this and test until done"
3. walk away
that's it. no babysitting. no "can you clarify" loops. no rate limits
it runs GPT-5.5 for hours straight in the background while you do something else
think of it like this:
ChatGPT = a coworker you have to micromanage every 5 minutes
Codex = a contractor you hand a detailed brief and come back to a finished product
the key: front-load your thinking into the doc. the better the brief, the longer it runs without interrupting you
$200/mo with no daily cap while most AI tools burn your entire allowance in 3 prompts
this is probably the most underrated setup in AI right now

few days into codex plus and i think i found the hack. nobody is talking about it and the value sitting in this subscription is wild. the hack: do not prompt the agent. write a single detailed task doc with every requirement laid out plus the final vision of what you are building, then fire codex cli with one line, accomplish this and test until done. it goes. hours of uninterrupted agentic coding on gpt 5.5 xhigh, no throttling, no rate cap, 'no can you clarify loop'. the agent has everything it needs in one place so it works the problem instead of working you. i have been grinding it since this morning, screenshot below shows the session past 24 mins and still running. anthropic burns through your daily allowance in three opus 4.7 prompts then your entire tier id is gone for the day. codex plus on the same money goes on and on while you go take a walk. this is the most underrated subscription in the agentic stack right now. the value is there if you front-load the prompt instead of conversation-mode it. give codex the brief, walk away, come back to a finished task. try this. loot the value while the math still favors you.

Fun fact, you can run through 60% of a weekly ChatGPT Pro codex rate limit by using goal mode with GPT 5.5 xhigh fast in ~18 hours

Because chats create a folder behind the scenes they are also great for random one-off projects. I used it to test the Build Web Apps plugin while I was developing it. Every chat became a new web app to test

chats in codex are underrated, you can do som many one off, sheets, docs, search etc tasks without worrying about it polluting your project more people should use chats in codex!!

fellas i need advice:
i’m trying to generally gain weight and eat more, which has been working ish. good days im hitting 3k calorie goal.
but then every few days i somehow just don’t eat (busy) and end up eating like 1k calories that day. like null appetite
is there some antiozempic i can take to become voraciously hungry? just make sure i run every morning? become a pot head? all suggestions welcome
