This British Sign Language Week, it was a true pleasure to host @eds_bsl for the second time in Parliament! We discussed breaking barriers in education and making GCSE BSL a reality. Empowering Deaf Society, led by Mangai Sutharsan, do such brilliant and important work in our community. From street parties, to days out they create spaces of joy, inclusivity and belonging for deaf people and their families. Ilford South is lucky to have them!

On Eid, one of the most important days in the Muslim calendar, access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem has been restricted by Israeli authorities, with many Palestinians prevented from entering and forced to pray outside. Reports also indicate restrictions affecting Christian worshippers, including access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City. Emerging reports this morning say Israeli forces confronted worshippers outside the Old City, with tear gas reportedly used against those gathered for prayer. These developments raise concerns that heightened security measures are further restricting freedom of worship and movement for Palestinians. I raised the situation at Al-Aqsa in Parliament yesterday, highlighting ongoing concerns about restrictions even following the ceasefire. The Israeli government should uphold international law, ensure freedom of worship, and engage in meaningful diplomacy to support a just and lasting peace.

Have any cranks said Israel intentionally failed to activate the Iron Dome so the Islamic Republic missiles would hit Al Asqa and it’s all a false flag?

FIFA has just announced it will not ban Israel from the World Cup. Instead it is giving the Israeli football federation a 'light fine' for discrimination against Palestinians. FIFA needs to be cancelled.

As a Christian it’s okay that this event takes place in London. My Muslim and Jewish friends are equally okay with the depiction of the Passion of Christ at Easter in Trafalgar Square. Inclusion means we accept each other’s faith as having equal space theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

This is a very powerful editorial from Jewish News. Those willing to weaponise hatred towards Muslims will not stop with Muslims. jewishnews.co.uk/voice-of-the-j…

Do any Western media outlets feel any responsibility anymore to the public? @Reuters merely reposts a regime propaganda video knowing full well that these poor women were threatened and their families abused to force them from asylum. We all know they will suffer serious repercussions when the cameras are turned off. Who are the people working at this news agency that make these editorial choices?

Zack Polanski is by far the most popular candidate for Prime Minister among Britain's 18-24 year olds. Over 3x more popular than Nigel Farage. 7x more popular than Rupert Lowe.
