Yesterday, I told you I was going to explain why Peter Obi and Kwankwaso ended up in NDC, and what really happened behind the scenes 👀 So here’s the simple gist 👇 When it started looking like Atiku Abubakar would become the main candidate in ADC (you know now 😜 Ibadan summit), Peter Obi knew things weren’t going to favour him there 🤔 So he began looking for another option. But not just any option, he wanted strong backing 💰(money). Basically, he was looking for something similar to what happened when Atiku picked Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate, a sitting governor with money, structure, and influence 🏛️ That’s how the Accord Party idea came in 💡(Remember when I posted about Accord Party? They've contacted Adeleke then, but have not had one-on-one meeting with him) Why Accord Party? Because of Governor Adeleke 🕺 Remember, he is their biggest political figure, and being a sitting governor, he had the kind of financial and structural support Obi was looking for(That's the reason why Obi visited Bala Mohammed). Plus, the party itself was seen as a clean slate ✨ So they reached out and even had a meeting with Adeleke in Abuja 🤝 But here’s where things changed 😳 Adeleke made it clear that he and his structure in Osun were already aligned with Bola Ahmed Tinubu 🇳🇬 That immediately shut the door on that plan 🚪❌ For Obi, that was a big setback 😬 No governor backing, no financial muscle, and no control of the party structure, everything he was hoping to gain from Accord Party was gone. was assigned to take chemistry and biology and i blatantly said no, i'll only take a subject if they want me to give my best. i agreed to take chemistry cause that's my best subject back then. first day at school and the first class i entered was SS2. the new age secondary school kids were looking at me like "this young guy is out chemistry teacher" ??? i knew for a facts i won't tolerate no disrespect even thou i'm very jovial. so what did i do? prior to the day, i received complains from the director and principal that the students complained about their former chemistry teacher, and they don't even understand his method of teaching. i used this opportunity to earn my respect that very first day. after introducing ourselves, i asked what they didn't understand from previous term and i broke everything down to them easy peasy. got to a point even social and art student do join my classes cause they enjoy them lol. it's been a very good ride ever since. on my birthday last year, i got heartfelt handwritten letters and gift from them, felt good ngl. p.o.p is on the 21st this month, and the whole management staffs and student are telling me not to leave. just glad i made an impact somewhere. ps: teaching is fun but very very stressful asf.
