Good discussion, especially Re the AAU. Congrats to Harlem Lyons getting an academic scholie to Norfolk State! Def don't have to play college basketball, and like these guys say, we can celebrate the good HS players even if they have other priorities next level!!!

Osbourn Park HS senior guard Keyarah Rainey has 16 points at the half on 7-9 shooting from the floor (1-1 from deep). She’s averaging 23ppg for the season and for the 3rd time earned Cedar Run District Player of the Year honors. She is also the VHSL Class 6 State Player of the Year for 2025! Special night last night. I had the honor of speaking with the 13u American volleyball team, sharing a message about trusting the process and understanding the sacrifices required to become not only a great volleyball player, but a great person. We talked about the importance of managing responsibilities while embracing the moment. I encouraged them to practice mindfulness, to stay present, and to understand that growth requires patience, discipline, and commitment to the process. Being a great teammate is not just about how you perform on the court, but how you support those around you, especially during adversity. Adversity doesn’t just challenge you — it reveals your character and strengthens your faith. When things get tough, you must continue to believe in the process. I’m grateful and honored to be part of the solution and a small part of the journey for these young ladies as they grow both on and off the court. #vicktorylife #leavealegacy #americanvolleyball
