One of the quiet travel revolutions in the last year or so, has been the full adoption of mobile boarding passes in India. Completely paperless, no more stamping for any purpose, no need to stop at counters or kiosks, fully in line with global standards. Kudos to all involved!

“Yet the past is ever with us and all that we are and that we have comes from the past. We are its products and we live immersed in it. Not to understand it and feel it as something living within us is not to understand the present” ~ Jawaharlal Nehru

Mukul Kesavan saying so much that should be said. // Rushdie is no different from any Indian writer who has been attacked or murdered for his or her opinions. Think for a moment of Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, M.M. Kalburgi, and Gauri Lankesh. // telegraphindia.com/opinion/bloodi…

An orchestrated boycott of a movie because you have an issue with the actor’s faith/political opinions, issuing fatwas against public personalities, and extremists stabbing a writer on stage, all exist on a continuum. Think about what you are gradually normalizing.

If one starts digging this country, one would find that many Buddhist Stupas were demolished and would also find dead body remains of Buddhist monks killed by the Brahmin Kings. Pushyamitr Sunga is 1 such example. A country that wants to go back to history, rarely learns from it.
