Entering 2026 with gentle intentions: - Grow forever with her. - Restore my mind’s clarity and fire from younger days. - Immerse fully in the ML world (MLOps focus). - Pursue research to nourish my mind. - Live with true, lasting peace. Here’s to quiet magic. 😊

The Minister of Education Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan must resign not only because he screwed up the National Testing agency's credibility by allowing the medical entrance exam papers to get leaked and destroying the future of 2200000 young women and mens careers... ...but also for manipulating The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to create utterly nonsensical chapters on pseudoscience such as Ayurveda that will be taught to students in higher schools. They are made to forget science and rationalism and taught rubbish such as vata, pita, kapha for disease diagnosis and management. Further, they have also strategically placed parts in the chapter which makes it look like learning "science" is anti-National (because the British destroyed Ayurveda) and embracing primitive traditions and dmbfckry of the highest order such as ancient Ayurvedic knowledge will make them successful nationalists. These guys ruining our country by creating obstacles to progressing with science and ridiculing rationalism, and damaging critical thinking skills among our children must be booted out.

Meta cut 8,000 people today. A survivor wrote about a teammate who slept 4 hours a night for months. Commits at 3am. Commits at 6am. IC4. Strong reviews. No PIP. Cut anyway. Working harder doesn't move you up the layoff list. You don't survive by being valuable to them. You survive by not needing them.

HR pulled aside a younger employee and told him leaving right at 5 every day made him seem “less dedicated” than the rest of the team. So the next day, he stayed late. Worked quietly until 6, packed up his stuff, then stopped by HR before leaving and asked how to submit his overtime hours. HR told him the extra time wouldn’t be paid. He nodded, said “got it,” and the very next day went back to clocking out at exactly 5pm.

I completed 7 years on Twitter today. It's been a rollercoaster ride. What started off as an observer-doctor responding to other blue-ticked doctors tweets, to the "angry-and-rude" medical science communicator fighting beliefs with data against educated pseudoscience apologists and trolls with the IQ of a JCB, to becoming the largest Indian medical doctor account on Twitter, I enjoyed every bit of it. And now, leveraging the same social media that has hurt me the most (mentally, emotionally and financially) I was able to realise a long cherished dream of becoming an author in due course. Thank you to all of you (you know who you are 🫂) for your kindness and support... ...and no thanks to all you useless educated fools supporting Ayush quackery and still confronting me with nonsensical beliefs on healthcare... ...and especially those who keep living in the utterly BS glorious past of Indian healthcare. I am going to drag you out of your caves...or drag you to your personal hell with my posts and now my book(s).

Networking Fundamentals for Developers, DevOps, and Platform Engineers (free course) 🔽 It doesn't matter if you work with real servers, virtual machines, Docker containers, Kubernetes pods, microVM-powered agent sandboxes, or full-blown cloud VPCs - all this tech relies on the same L2/L3 "magic" under the hood. Gaining at least a basic understanding of how traffic flows on the Ethernet and IP layers will allow you to troubleshoot connectivity issues and design your own networking solutions. And this highly-illustrated course is a good start: labs.iximiuz.com/courses/comput…

Good morning. -Gentle reminder that chiropractors are not doctors, but quacks and frauds of the first order (see quoted post). -DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH any part of your body, especially your neck. -Here is a short list of Instagram-famous (they usually select victims through social media promotion) chiropractors you need to stay away from. -Chiropractors are NOT regulated or recognized as healthcare professionals by the Indian Government.

In June 2022, 28-year-old Caitlin Jensen went to a Georgia chiropractor for a routine neck adjustment. Shortly after the procedure, she became seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found four dissected arteries in her neck. The injuries triggered a stroke, cardiac arrest, and a traumatic brain injury. Caitlin lost her pulse for about 10 minutes before doctors were able to revive her. She survived, but the damage changed everything. She was left paralyzed, with limited movement, and can no longer speak.

A small but very practical Linux & Docker debugging exercise: You have a containerized server with an entrypoint script. The server container works fine, but "docker stop" hangs, and the container is eventually forcibly killed (even though the app knows how to shut down gracefully). Troubleshooting such signal propagation issues is a good way to practice: - How Linux processes are arranged inside a container - What actually receives SIGTERM on container termination - How shells propagate signals (spoiler: they usually don't) - How to implement extensible entrypoint scripts that actually work Learn by doing: labs.iximiuz.com/challenges/gra…

eBPF is much easier to understand when you stop treating it as magic and start building small, working programs with it. Teodor Podobnik has been publishing a hands-on eBPF series on iximiuz Labs, with a strong focus on networking. The tutorials start from the fundamentals - your first eBPF program, maps, the verifier, bpftool, portability, event delivery, and XDP basics — and then move into practical network programming projects: - Implementing traffic rate limiting with eBPF/XDP - Building an IP range firewall with LPM trie maps - Writing a NAT-based L4 load balancer - Building Layer 2 and IP-in-IP DSR load balancers - Adding round-robin and weighted backend selection - Transparently redirecting ingress and egress traffic through Envoy - Accelerating socket-to-socket traffic paths with eBPF What I like about this series is that it doesn't just tell what eBPF can do. It shows how the pieces fit together in real Linux networking scenarios: packet parsing, connection tracking, IP/MAC rewriting, socket hooks, and more. If you've been meaning to learn eBPF for networking, this is easily the best collection of hands-on learning materials on the entire Internet: labs.iximiuz.com/tutorials?auth…

Today's Supreme Court decision is a direct assault on the promise of the Voting Rights Act. It risks disenfranchising millions of Americans along racial lines and weakening the very foundation of our democracy. Democracy is not self-sustaining. We must build, preserve, and defend it together. Here in New York City, we will always lead a government of, by, and for the people — all of the people.
