A curious case of Zaggle issuing warrants at 63% above CMP. People often get excited and end up taking disproportionate bets! Read and understand carefully 💯 Zaggle is a ₹4,663 crore market-cap company, out of which promoters hold 44.2% i.e. ~₹2,061 crore. Now, they are issuing warrants worth ₹60 crore at ₹567 per share - much above the current market price. At the time of application, only 25% needs to be paid i.e. ~₹15 crore. The balance has to be paid within 18 months, and the warrants will be exercised only if the stock trades above ₹567. So, if the stock remains below ₹567, promoters lose just ₹15 crore. But if the stock rises above ₹567 (63% higher than CMP), their holding of ₹2,061 crore could rise to ~₹3,367 crore. In short: 👉🏼Downside: Max loss ₹15 crore 👉🏼Upside: Potential gain ~₹1,300 crore For them, the risk is negligible. 😃 But retailers often see such moves and allocate 15–20% (or even more) of their portfolios, betting big. Remember: your risk-reward ratio is never the same as theirs. 🎯
