Khawaja Asif’s statements are purely for meant for the radicalised maniacs/fundamentalists in Pakistan. Reality is :-all these moves are dictated by their wrecked economy,and directions give by US. At this stage, if Washington asks :- can you go to Jupiter; Islamabad will thank Washington for giving them a unique opportunity.

Even comments from Khawaja Asif have been notably cautious, almost procedural, framed in conditional terms and personal interpretation rather than a clear articulation of state position. That is usually a signal in itself in sensitive foreign policy theatres. The larger point is structural, not episodic. Pakistan’s external messaging on Israel has historically been constrained by domestic politics, but its strategic environment has been steadily shifting around it. Quiet contacts, indirect engagements and participation in third-party facilitated exchanges involving Israeli-linked platforms have existed for years, even if they are never allowed to mature into formal diplomacy. This is where the real trajectory becomes visible. The Abraham Accords were never just about bilateral recognition. They were about regional realignment under a new security and economic architecture. If Saudi Arabia eventually moves in that direction, Pakistan will not remain permanently outside that arc. It is too integrated into the same financial and strategic ecosystem to do so. So the question is not whether Pakistan rejects or accepts any one reported proposal. It is whether it can remain insulated from a broader regional consolidation that is already underway. On that count, the direction of travel is fairly clear. The timing is variable, the destination is not.
