Reminder to self: Not everyone is happy at your workplace. Quite many are thinking about exiting at some point.

Going to a commercial gym is an excellent way to get accountability from when others (kind of) watch you. It's something you cannot get by being alone in a home gym.

I started experimenting with intermittent fasting two weeks ago. My daily goal is to fast for 16h by skipping breakfast and postponing lunch. Here's what my daily eating looks like in 5 steps:

When I was younger, I thought plenty of excess money could make me happy. In hindsight, it was a bit naive and immature thinking. Realized now in recent years, in my mid-twenties, that it's not the case.

I find the current economic and political circumstances interesting. The first time I can observe and truly understand: - Recessions in big economies - Soaring inflation - Rising interest rates - War in Europe - Cold war-like tensions - And much more

I have recently started to reflect much more on my unhealthy circumstances and their effects on my future mental health when I retire. For example, frequent sleep deprivation and stress increase my risk of developing Alzheimer's.

Sleeping enough is underrated to be happy in life. I think the correlation between sleep and happiness is around 0.7 to 0.9.

Felt like complete shit earlier and had low productivity. Went for a 1h walk in the sun. Now feeling much better and productivity has skyrocketed. Go for the walk.

I have noticed the more unhealthy foods I eat, the more I crave. It's an evil cycle. Lesson for myself: Break the cycle asap

Sparkling water is an underrated drink in restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Both for sober and non-sober health-conscious people. Here's why:

@viktorforsman_ @smithhmackenzie For me traveling was about what I was interested in and/or where it was cheap to go to. I never really had any particular plans, just booked a flight somewhere and took it from there. On the last years of my travel I had a backup card, but before that no.

Solo trips are so powerful Not gonna lie, it can be really tough at times But the growth you get from the experience is insane There’s so much time spent purely with yourself A lot of reflection, sitting with uncomfortable thoughts/emotions, being brutally honest with yourself Always brings me so much clarity on who I am and what I want
