ADMK has Gounders , DMK has Muslim votes to propel them to victory in tight races. For BJP, Brahmins in Tamil Nadu have been the most steadfast , reliable voter bloc . They are the caralyst for converting and consolidating Hindutva supporters across other communities. Losing their loyalty would serve long term damage to BJP. With Vijay's TVK and Seeman's NTK fielding Brahmin candidates, the narrative on the ground is changing. No party can afford to ignore Brahmin influence , least of all, the BJP. Ignoring Brahmin bloc in TN will result in a butterfly effect across other states which no national party can afford. Mylapore is the acid test. By wooing a deciding 15 % vote share, Any party fielding a brahmin candidate, is sending the right signal to not just Mylapore assembly constituency, but also to South Chennai LS in three years. Conversely, any party ignoring brahmins in TN risks losing their support in other states too. If @BJP4TamilNadu wants to capture a significant number of lok sabha seats in TN, they must regain and retain voter confidence among microminority vote blocs in these five state assembly elections.
