A girl named Nida in my college gave speech on Kargil war that Indian soldiers had raped Kashmiri Women and we should have given up Kashmir! When i stopped her by asking, “what’s your source”… she replied that i knew it happened I called her anti national and asked what about those 3 million women who were killed and 2,00,000 raped by Pak Army in 1971 My History teacher abruptly criticised me for using the word anti national She said don’t politicise the academics History is written by the Traitors!!

When I got married four decades ago, the fear of dowry harassment - was real in families, wealthy, privileged, or poor. There was always someone who knew someone who had faced chilling consequences. What was most frightening for young women, often in our early twenties at the time, was the realization that the threat rarely came from just one person. It was a collective: the husband, his parents, siblings, and extended family often acted together or turned a blind eye to dowry demands and physical abuse. Societal pressure and stigma silenced many. It was rare for parents to stand up for their daughters, fearing shame and ostracism, often condemning them to lives of abuse and harassment. Even rarer was the man who stood by his wife against his own family. Legal recourse was almost nonexistent, and without allies, it was a lonely, uphill battle for any woman. Fast forward to today, and it seems the dynamics have flipped entirely. While abusive men still exist, we now see women stepping into roles once dominated by cruelty and greed. Are these the daughters of women who vowed “never again”? Raised on tales of injustice, are these young women perpetually on the defensive - angry and combative? Or is the harsher truth simply this: that some, both then and now, are the products of families driven by greed, selfishness, and narcissism - grabbing whatever they can, whenever and wherever they can? This is not to say there weren’t happy marriages forty years ago, just as there are today. But the troubling question remains: how did we create a generation so fearless of societal censure, unbound by empathy or accountability? And why do we continue to enable this cycle, spawning new monsters in its wake?

The barbaric Places of Worship Act 1991, passed deceitfully by the Parliament to appease a minority and ratified deceitfully by the Supreme Court, must be abrogated. Hindus are being denied their legal right to correct historical injustices. Narendra Modi must act. Now or never.

We are senior citizens. Visited Manipal Hospitals Gurugram. There was some miscommunication regarding the appointment. Since we’d come from some distance away we were pretty upset. The billing staff helped us to circumvent the issue. Thanks Mukesh Jha! @ManipalHealth

In addition, we were unaware of the latest ruling concerning billing etc for 70 years and more old ECHS patients. Once again proactively the staff came forward and informed us about it and helped us through. Thanks Abhishek @ManipalHealth

This #Diwali2024 has felt special in a profoundly moving way. My husband, ever the gadget enthusiast with a talent for assembling remote-controlled cars, helicopters, and drones, had expressed a wish that his barely used electric wheelchair go to someone who would truly appreciate it. He was keen that the recipient would value the wheelchair’s advanced features -someone young, once agile and active, who could use it to its potential as he had intended. It took us nearly 18 months to find that person, but with the support of my father @SatishBahri and Colonel Nagra, Colonel Commandant at the #PRCMohali - Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre in Mohali, we were able to fulfill his wish. The wheelchair now belongs to a 26 year old soldier injured in Kashmir, paralyzed waist down. We hope it brings him greater ease and independence in his journey ahead.

I am a Hindu. I will answer. I don’t celebrate deaths of non-combatants, leave alone children. You do. Palestinians celebrated the death of babies and women. Common women and children in Gaza celebrated on the streets on 7th October. They danced with joy. We have all seen the videos. Now, let me tell you why civilians deaths happened/are happening in Gaza. Because that is what Hamas wants. Hamas puts rockets and missiles in schools, hospitals, shopping malls and residential colonies. The weapons are deliberately put there. The reason is Counter Bombardment. When Hamas fires missiles and rockets at Israel, at that instant no one knows the identity of the point of origin. Yes, they would know the grid coordinates in a while but @IDF would not know (at that instant) if it’s a school or hospital. Any projectile takes a parabola path. The path of a projectile is a parabola because the projectile's horizontal motion is constant, while its vertical motion is affected by gravity. When the IDF tracks the path of the incoming projectile, two things happen. Identification of point of origin and counter bombardment (CB), to neutralise the threat. CB will take the path similar to that of the incoming missile or rocket. And when it lands, it lands in a civilian area because that is identified as “point of origin” by the computer. By that time (few seconds) Hamas has fled the location. And that is what Hamas wants. Civilian casualties. Tell your Hamas friends not fire rockets from populated areas.

US sells lethal weapons to terror state Pakistan and India is supposed to be ok with that. But Indian companies selling spare parts and circuits to Russia face sanctions! Another shining example of American hypocrisy.
Firstpost@firstpost

#VantageOnFirstpost: The US government has sanctioned 21 Indian entities, including 19 companies and two nationals, for selling dual-use goods to Russia. How will India react to this move? @palkisu tells you.

Somehow, both #AAP and #RahulGandhi seem to have arrived at the same conclusion: this “Hindu thing” sells. After all, they reckon, if the BJP has benefited from Hindutva, why shouldn't they dip their toes into it, even if clumsily? And so, we are subjected to awkward attempts by a half-Catholic, half-Parsi politician to lecture us on the profound meaning of Devtas, Shakti and whatever else catches his fancy for the day! As if that weren’t enough, now we have Atishi's laughable homage to her boss with a chair supposedly symbolizing Bharat and Shri Ram. Give us a break, please! There’s only so much absurdity one can take.
