I still find it sooo suspicious and odd how they didn't show Capitano's eyes even in his backstory cutscene the only other character in the entire game that they hide the eyes so much is Zhongli in his past as Rex Lapis 😭

traveler is so weird as a character. all they do is contradict themselves like with Lyney and Lynette in the 4.0 archon quest and with liloupar in 6.6.

@CrossMight Again “bad influence can bring out the worst” it’s not making you sympathise but you saw this and went to some level he was manipulated so some of the blame can be put on others. When this wasn’t the case before, act 4 places all 100% of the blame on him and his wife

@violet_sandss acknowlodging he was manipulated by bigger forces throughout his life is not the same as justifying anything or wanting you to symphatize w him at all,its a show that bad influence can bring out the worst.

the way I see it the screenwriter deliberately frames it in a more sympathetic light, it takes a lot of the agency in his action and places it on “people” and “abyss”. It still blames him but creates him to be more a helpless man and not power hungry man who committed genocide

@CrossMight Columbina knows his past I’m pretty sure. Columbina blames him yes but that’s not my point. It’s the writers writing dialogue which deliberately places rerir in a more softer light than before. The whole scene felt like trying to get the viewer to feel more emotional for these 2

@violet_sandss I have zero clue what these two lines has to do with the genocider part,Abyss' control is post-genocide Rerir which is his actions thru NK Act 1-2-3-4,NOT anything that came prior.Same for the second one,Columbina wasnt even there to watch his past iirc+Columbina DOES blame him
