The ruling party has 32+ governors in their ranks spread across all the geopolitical zones and still not overwhelmingly assured of re-election. This is easily the most unpopular government since our return to civilian rule in 1999. The political class will not save you from an imminent defeat if the people have their minds made up not to reinforce failure.

After Boycotting Gov. Yusuf’s Meeting, Senator Kawu Sumaila Holds ‘Critical Meeting’ with Kano South Lawmakers.
Lawmakers from Kano South Senatorial District on Monday held what they described as a “critical meeting” to deliberate on their political future, amid growing discontent with the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The meeting, led by Senator Kawu Sumaila, was attended by prominent members of the House of Representatives, including Alhassan Doguwa, Kabiru Rurum, Abdulmumin Jibrin, and Abdullahi Rogo.
The development comes barely a day after Mr. Sumaila and Mr. Rurum reportedly boycotted an invitation by Governor Yusuf to attend an enlarged meeting with APC members of the State and National Assembly, further signalling widening cracks within the party ranks in Kano State.

Out of Tinubu’s 65 ambassadorial nominees, only the UK and France have formally granted agrément. Nothing else has been rejected 🤷all the rest are still in the pending host‑nation approval stage. Any claims of Germany or other countries rejecting nominees are unverified and based on speculation or social media chatter.

@Anlugbua_Ibadan His tribal loyalty last election got him nothing. He sacrificed three of his own senatorial candidates but it favour an Easterner. Chasing PBAT in 2027 could cost him his successor to the opposition. He needs to act now blunt and ruthless.

These things are not mutually exclusive. He cannot risk focusing his state in the name of producing a successor to losing his appeal nationally, remember he’s an outgoing governor. He’ll never find a better opportunity to show workings if he misses this window.
By 2031, he’d be a former Governor (and him gbedu fit don cast by then). It’s now or never for him.
