@godsonvipe73132 The DPoS will have a weight of 50% in the cumulative difficulty, and it will get 40% of the total block reward. The rest is for PoW.

@virelprotocol First…. a 💯 for the team! But a lil question if not minded; I’d like to know how this shift affect on-chain governance? For example, will token holders have a larger voice in consensus through DPoS, or is security still weighted toward the PoW side? @virelprotocol

In light of demonstrated weaknesses in pure Proof-of-Work systems, the Virel protocol will implement a hard fork to a Hybrid PoW+DPoS consensus mechanism. This enhancement significantly raises the economic barrier for 51% attacks, as malicious actors would be required to burn substantial capital, making such actions prohibitively expensive and non-viable.
