@ydoook @Litesout86 @MurrayHillGuy1 @pearlythingz And I am speaking from experience of 2 years of Zepbound and 80lbs lost..maybe a few more to go before maintenance, but I plan to keep on it for life. Already pushed that rock up the hill too many times. 5% chance sucks!

@ydoook @Litesout86 @MurrayHillGuy1 @pearlythingz The drugs help you lose it..not help you keep it off. This is why they are supposed to be for life. Perhaps for ppl with no lifelong obesity who took for some vanity lbs drop maybe with strict lifestyle habits. Like ANY diet, you have only 5% chance of keep it off after 5 years

Friend of mine is down 40 lbs in 3 months. He was a bit over weight, but now he is crazy jacked, only slight muscle loss. Lost all body fat. He’s on Reta GLP-3 peptides. Anyone actually seen real side effects from this yet? Or is this just the new era of fat loss?

@korlaayy Yeah..I was surprised when my Nurse Practioner sister told me to give my dad cottage cheese when we needed to get his blood pressure up. I was thinking salty chips but she pointed out cottage cheese had more sodium..WTH?!

@123456tag @muscleforlife Because they use the term like "kleenex"...most people who are not actually using it think there is only Ozempic and not as familar with Zepbound..and then you add on the confusion of Wegovy and Monjauro..I take Zepbound so I know..but Ozempic is just being used generically

The super rare GLP-1 side effect you're obsessively chasing (or just inventing) is probably not as bad as the side effects of staying fat.

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD Man..sorry you are soooo shortsighted in your thinking. NOT TRUE. If calories in/out were the only issue there truly would be no obesity. Been there done that a million times. It can work..until it doesn't. Why keep pushing the rock up the hill when you don't have to???

@virtualwinegal @AviBittMD Deficits alone DO work. Obesity results from consuming more than you expend. If people were honest about caloric intake and expenditure, there would be no obesity. My ONLY issue with GLP1s is that people will regain the weight. It is the answer for a few, but not for MOST people.

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD Awesome..good for you! Good luck beating that 5% in the usual 5-year mark. We have all been there done that. These drugs are not the first try for most of us. We have done the discipline thing..eat better, work out..until you don't. The odds are against us.

@virtualwinegal @AviBittMD Two years ago - at 265 lbs with over 30% bodyfat - I started training properly and modified my diet. I'm down 60 lbs of fat and have increased my lean muscle mass. The most important result is the discipline and habits that have formed. That's how we grow the 5% - not Ozempic.

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD Hundreds of lbs over my lifetime. Why keep pushing the rock up the hill. This drug is about keeping it off. Obesity is not a matter of just trying to eat less and move more. You must never been obese. Just another diet shamer.

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD Lololol. Thanks for negating my life experience of trying everything. Including weight loss surgery. If calorie deficit alone worked there would be no obesity. Any diet would take off weight. Sure Jan. But you only have 5% chance of keeping it off after 5 years. Gained and lost

@jamesbohanpitt @rorynotsorry Not everyone ends up with “ozempic face”. I look exactly the same as I did losing weight other ways. And rather have so called ozrmpic face if it means I don’t have obesity related illnesses.

I see a lot of bad takes on here saying GLP1s are bad because people aren’t eating Protein and working out. At the end of the day a thin person not doing those things is healthier than an obese person not doing those things. GLP1s will make an obese overweight person healthier… fill stop. (And probably make them more active as well)

⚠️ If you are paying $1000 per month for liraglutide, you are getting ripped off‼️ Liraglutide is not worth more than $100 per month. We can give you low dose of Sema and Tirz for a fraction of the LIRA cost and they both work 2-4x better than the highest dose of LIRA. @DrNadolsky

@drterrysimpson It’s also a bit of fat shaming. People like to appear holier then thou. You are lazy and can’t just have enough discipline to lose it by eating less and move more. We’ve all done that. If it was that easy there would be no obesity. People need to mind their own business.

It is clear that GLP-1 are a danger to the health and life coaches and diet demagogues. They work quite well - but the amount of resistance from people who want to defend their turf is extraordinary

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD An average of 1-2lbs a week. Nothing different than any diet program. Not sure why you all have to hate on the method. For those of us that tried everything and lost/gained weight for decades it will help keep it off.

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD You all assume muscle loss is to our detriment. Obviously not. The scan didn’t show my numbers to be devastating. Sure of course ANY weight loss will come with muscle loss. If you eat more than enough protein and strength train you won’t have that. I kept up with protein and lost

@SSAMAB9 @AviBittMD I’ve been on Zepbound almost 2 years. Down 75lbs. Maybe another 20ish to go. I had a dexa scan a few months ago and my muscle mass numbers were really good. No dramatic muscle loss. Lean mass fine. Just need to drop a tiny bit in visceral fat. And that’s with little excercise

@AviBittMD False. Data and meta-analyses indicate weight regain after stopping GLP1s is common and often rapid, with many regaining most weight within 2 years. Moreover, weight loss includes 40% lean mass but regained weight is more than 60% fat. You end up WORSE off with a higher BF%.

@AviBittMD @SSAMAB9 Why would these drugs bear any different results than other diets. Only 5% keep weight off at 5 years. Most of us using for weight loss have only been a few years. The power of these meds is not the weight loss but keeping it off long term.
