I think one thing that rubs people the wrong way about pro natalism is that no one talks about the men who don’t realize they want kids until they’re 35 (or 40!) after literally a decade plus of serial monogamy while everyone is yelling at the 34 year old woman

No one talks about the lack of quality men for women to reproduce with period.
Most women are inclined towards monogamy, marriage, and kids. But they wisely forego them (and SHOULD) when they can’t find solid partners.
If anyone is talking about the birth rate and not directly targeting their concerns towards men they’re deeply unserious.
