If I want to retire in India and want this, where should I end up? 1. Coastal city because pollution will be low 2. No danger of language warriors - I don’t intend to get into anyone’s way 3. Decent infra 4. At least 2 good hospital within 20-30kms 5. Airport within 2-3hr drive; railways station a major plus I can think of these: 1. Vizag 2. North Goa (Ponda, Mapusa) 3. Bhubaneswar (not coastal but you get the drift) 4. Udupi 5. Mangalore What else?

Honoured to receive the Order of Oman (First Class). My gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Government and people of Oman for this honour. This is a symbol of affection and trust between the people of India and Oman. For centuries, our ancestors have been connected with each other, engaged in maritime trade with one another. The Arabian Sea has become a strong bridge between our nations. I dedicate this honour to the people of India. I also dedicate this honour to our ancestors who laid the foundations of this relationship by travelling from Mandvi to Muscat. This honour is also dedicated to the seafarers who have, through centuries of exchange, contributed to the progress of both nations.

A new chapter in India-Oman strategic partnership! India and Oman signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) today, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral economic relations. The agreement will increase the trade between India and Oman, boost investment, catalyse economic divesification, unlock opportunities in all major sectors of the economy, enhance economic growth and generate employment. For people, CEPA means more jobs, better market access for businesses, stronger supply chains and greater economic opportunities on both sides.

Most people in India think that living abroad is hyper costly. Honestly, it is not. If you live in places like Thailand, Vietnam, Georgia, some parts in Eastern Europe-- these would be at least 20-30% cheaper than Indian Metros, with at least 3X better quality food, air, etc. A lot of these opportunities were opening up for Indians in the last few years. And, things were going well. Now the problem is that bhakts can't move abroad. Not because they don't want to. But, because no one will take them. I am saying this in the nicest way possible. I don't mean to offend them. So they run twitter diplomacy campaigns. Right from bashing Switzerland to Korea, they will leave no one. And, ruin opportunities for Indians who actually have the skills to leave & wish to live a better life. This is a fact that is less spoken about. But, should be spoken.

I have lived across: Singapore, Dubai, Sharjah, Bangkok, Panjim, Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram [Not travelled, lived]. I can tell you that India metro cities are by far the worst. To be honest, it is no one's fault. We just have too many people competing for too few resources. You can be rich in an Indian metro. But, you are unlikely to have a good "quality" life. So, if you have the money to leave Indian metros, leave. You are missing nothing. There will be challenges along the way. But, all that is worth it for your family. The goal of life is not that you make crazy money. The goal of life is that you live better. Life is too short to deal with bad systems.

VIDEO | At 70, while most people settle into a quiet retirement, one woman from Hyderabad is rolling up her sleeves and getting her hands dirty, quite literally, for a greener tomorrow. This is the story of K Hymavathi, fondly known as the “Seed Ball Grandma.” A retired Assistant Manager from the National Textile Corporation, Hymavathi now spends her days shaping hope, one seed ball at a time.
