Donald Trump has been elected as the next President of the United States. Whether you’re cheering or protesting, celebrating or frustrated, we’re all called to remember one simple truth: the strength of this nation has never been in one person. It has always been, and always will be in us, THE PEOPLE. We are a football team filled with people from different places, with different faces and from different back grounds with a common goal of winning. Every day we need to wake up doing everything we can to get better together because games aren’t won by a single player or even a single play. It takes more than just the star quarterback or a coach on the sidelines to win a game. Games are won by the collective effort, the grit, and the teamwork of everyone on the team. Each player pushing forward inch by inch together. It’s about the group facing adversity and coming out on top because they moved together to conquer it. That’s the resilience we need now. It not just the president or government, but THE PEOPLE who bring about the spirit of cooperation, hope, and progress that will lift us out of our economic uncertainty, the issues in our immigration system, an educational system that needs improvement, our homelessness issue, eradicating food insecurity and lay the foundation for future prosperity. That is the spirit we need now. We need to harness that power once again. We have to be brave enough to bridge our divides, bold enough to listen to those who see the world differently, and compassionate enough to care about the well-being of every person in our communities. When our hearts and minds are united, we can lift up our fellow citizens who are struggling, create an economy that works for all, feed every family, and open doors of opportunity for every child. Football teams win because the players and coaches believe in each other and fight for each other, not with each other. We can’t save the world if our own home isn’t in order. We have the power to heal our divisions, to mend what is broken, and to build a future where the world sees not only a strong America but a righteous America. We can show them who we really are and what we strive to be. A nation not of isolated voices but of unified resolve, not of anger and resentment but of hope and possibility TOGETHER. Let’s move forward and be our best selves. Let’s get to work, not because it’s easy, but because we believe that this country is worth it. The world is watching how we respond to one of the MOST DIVISIVE ELECTIONS in American History. It’s time to reintroduce ourselves, not just as individuals or factions but as a united people. Because the future we want is up to us. We are the United States of America. Let’s show the world what that means. God bless
