Florianópolis - elite for a few months of the year, high season is way too busy, winter is cold Rio de Janeiro - one of the most beautiful cities in the world but you quite literally have to be a MAD MAN to live there Belo Horizonte - maybe if you could swim in Pampulha, or you hide out in Nova Lima, otherwise not a big fan, food overrated, only place I’ve been robbed, colonial spots in Minas are amazing, & yes dating is just ridiculous João Pessoa - the only spot in the northeast to actually live, I did for 6 months, almost bought a place, thankful it didn’t happen, but JP is seriously legit for safety, COL, calm but 1 million people aka everything you need, year around warm weather. Impossible to raise a family in the Ne as a gringo tho Curitiba - when the sun is out, it’s little Buenos Aires basically. Highly underrated colonial & beach spots nearby, FESTVAL grocery store is GREAT, very safe in good neighborhoods, I enjoy Batel, lovely parks, night & day development FACADE difference from the rest of Brasil, but still stuffers from same cultural / internal problems as the rest Porto Alegre - only did a couple days but didn’t excite me, Serra gaucha is legit tho Fortaleza - couple weeks vacation at most, and quite rough outside a couple streets, but @Living4aLiving_ has figured it out and seems to enjoy Recife - a dump with sharks, olinda is cool tho, an airport with international flights is nice Salvador - unreal distressed colonial city on the ocean, so cool, makes you dream of what could have been, otherwise wayyyy to rough to live unless you are a @StephenStorey type For 90% of gringos I would not recommend any ‘home’ in Brasil. Maybe a 3-6 month base type spot.

I’ve spent 12 years traveling across Brazil. 40+ cities. 13 states. Here are the 10 best cities to call home, counting down to #1… 10 - Salvador: warm weather all year and music in the streets, with some of the most energetic people and richest culture in the country. Food is top notch, with some of the best flavors you’ll find anywhere. 9 - Recife: a rich historical city, with a growing tech hub, plus a laid-back beach lifestyle at a fraction of what Rio costs. 8 - Fortaleza: warm sun and calm beaches year-round, with a slower pace and lower prices than the big southern cities. The beach walk is a great place to bike or walk in the morning or evening. 7 - Porto Alegre: top cafes and a strong food-and-barbecue culture, with a laid-back southern feel and real four-season weather. 6 - São Paulo: the best place to make money, the best restaurants and nightlife, and the most diverse city in Brazil (almost anything you could want is close by). 5 - Curitiba: one of the safest, most organized cities in Brazil, with great parks and easy transit system, a favorite for families. 4 - João Pessoa: calm, green, and safe, with warm weather and low prices - an easy, peaceful place to live and raise a family. Feels like a small town with big city amenities. 3 - Belo Horizonte: one of Brazil's safest big cities, with friendly people, mild weather, and the most active bar-and-food scene anywhere. Also the coffee and pão de queijo are top-tier, and the small towns nearby make for great weekend trips. 2 - Rio de Janeiro: beaches, mountains, and international population in one city, where the outdoor lifestyle pulls people in and keeps them for years. The energy in the city is contagious and makes every day exciting. 1 - Florianópolis: Brazil's safest big city and its digital-nomad capital, mixing island beaches with a booming tech scene and a relaxed daily pace. A real sense of community and friendly people make it an easy place to call home. Most people only know Rio and São Paulo. Brazil is so much bigger than that. Which one would you call home? P.s. I haven’t been to Vitória or Goiânia yet, but I’ve heard good things

⚠️ This is NOT your typical video editing job. Being the “best video editor” // “motion graphics artist” won’t get you this role... The key differentiator here is you need to be great at identifying good clips. Short-form and medium to long-form (Hormozi highlights style). You need to speak English fluently and be exceptional at understanding the context of what makes a viral clip and/or is relevant content for each specific client. You’ll be paid a base per client + performance bonuses. We’re a rocket ship. You’ll be working with some of the biggest names in the industry, learning a lot from me directly and from the work itself. If that interests you, again, reply with your portfolio and/or send me a DM. I'll be in touch.

I've dictated almost everything for 6 months with Wispr Flow. 44,414 words, 161 wpm, top 0.1% of users. Last week I tried FluidVoice. Open source, runs local on my Mac, corrects as I speak with no API key, and handles slang better than I expected. Cancelled my paid plan. If you're on a Mac, this one's for you: altic.dev/fluid @ALTIC_DEV
