Yesterday evening, I was sitting on a terrace in the city, finishing this article below.
Around me: people enjoying their time, quiet conversations, no rush, just life unfolding at its own rhythm.
There is something deeply reassuring in that kind of atmosphere: no urgency, no visible stress, just the simple act of enjoying an ordinary evening.
And yet, this calm exists in a region where stability is anything but guaranteed.
Can Europe translate dialogue into delivery - consistently, predictably, and where it matters most?
I explore this question in my latest article published in Modern Diplomacy - expressing my personal view.

Canadas Prime Minister, Mark Carney, will participate as a guest in the European Political Community summit being held in Yerevan, on May 4.
Carneys participation will mark the first time that a non-European country participates in the meeting.
The summit will be co-chaired by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and António Costa, President of the European Council.
The meeting will take place ahead of the first-ever EU–Armenia bilateral summit.
48 heads of state and government have been invited to take part in this eighth meeting of the European Political Community.

Today marks 205 years of Greek independence. I was grateful to stand in solidarity with Greek Orthodox New Yorkers at the Divine Liturgy, commemorating this triumph of self-determination.
From Athens to Astoria, we are reminded that true freedom is the ability to live without fear and shape our own futures. That is the autonomy we are fighting to secure for every single New Yorker.
In the words of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, let us march with deep gratitude for the sacrifices that have made our lives possible.

Today marks the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. As we honor the 1.5 million Armenians murdered by the Ottoman Empire across modern-day Turkey, Syria, and Armenia, we must refuse to let history repeat itself.
In 2020, the military forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey attacked the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2023, Azerbaijan expelled over 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, continuing the genocidal campaign that had begun over 100 years prior.
On this day of remembrance, we reaffirm the right of the Armenian people — and all people — to freedom, safety, and self-determination.
