You are looking at the goat business purely from a retail or butchery perspective, not from a commercial farming or genetic investment angle. You are absolutely right that in a shop, goat stew is just goat stew because it sells for a fixed market price. But that is not where the real value lies for those of us breeding quality Boer goats. When you are in the genetics business, you are not breeding for consumption but for reproduction. The profit does not come from selling meat to consumers; it comes from selling bloodlines, semen, and breeding stock to farmers who want to improve their herds. That is why a single top quality Boer buck can fetch tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is not because someone is going to eat it, but because its offspring will multiply that value over generations. So, while your experience as a retailer tells you there is limited demand for goat meat, my experience as a breeder tells me there is growing demand for superior genetics. Both are valid perspectives, but they are entirely different industries operating under different economic principles. A farmer who owns 100 Mashona-type female goats and sells the progeny based on live weight might get around $2 per kilogram. If each goat weighs 20 kilograms, that gives 20 × 100 = 2,000 kilograms in total. At $2 per kilogram, the farmer earns $4,000. Now, if that same farmer invests in a male Boer goat, purchasing one for $500 or $1,000 to improve the herd’s genetics, the average weight of each goat can increase from 20 kilograms to about 50 or even 60 or 70 kilograms. Using the conservative figure of 50 kilograms, the calculation becomes 50 × 100 = 5,000 kilograms. At the same rate of $2 per kilogram, the farmer now earns $10,000 instead of $4,000. That is the basic economic logic behind investing in Boer goats. You are not just buying an animal; you are buying the potential to dramatically increase yield and profitability over time through better genetics.

@KingJayZim Awww thanks a mil Dad! Love you lots

#Liverpool v #Arsenal . Anfield Sunday 16:30. Preview and #KingsPrediction By King Jay. We @Arsenal fans have been waiting for this mouthwatering clash against the Premier League champions @LFC Our season started with a shaky showing against a marauding Manchester United, but we nicked that game 0-1 thanks to defender ,Calafiori goal from a corner.🤦🏽♂️Tsitsitsitsitsi! 😆 Then came Leeds United game at the Emirates… and we absolutely battered them like fish,Hehehehehehe😝😝. Five goals, clean sheet number two. This team looks like it’s on a serious roll. Bukayo Saka is out for at least three weeks with a hamstring injury, Kai Havertz is sidelined after knee surgery, and captain Odegaard is a doubtful starter following a shoulder knock during last weekend’s Leeds United demolition. Normally, that would have me reaching for my BP pills, but not this time. Arsenal’s summer signings step up to fill the gaps. Gyökeres could lead the line, supported by fellow new boys Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, and Zubimendi ,a frontline with pace and that ka flair, and ready to make a statement at Anfield.💪🏽💪🏽 Our defence has looked solid so far, while Liverpool’s has shown signs of vulnerability. The so-called Anfield curse doesn’t matter. And yes, I know the stat. Arsenal haven’t won at Anfield since 2012 ,back when Arteta was still wearing the shirt, cue blah, blah, blah .🗣️🗣️ That’s 13 years of pain for anyone counting. But I don’t do stats. Mastats haana kana basa aya! 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♀️🤷 My gut ,and my #Njanja spiritual guardians ,say this is the day the hoodoo ends. 🔚🎬 Arsenal won’t keep a clean sheet, but the three points are coming back to North London. I am taking a walk to Bhai Patel’s bottle store to score a few quarts of lager to sip on while I watch the game. Prediction: Liverpool 2-3 Arsenal. #COYG #UPTHEGUNNERS #KingsPredictions #ArsenalBhora
