Urdu speakers seem confused about its Farsi-Arabic-Awadhi origins. Panjabi borrows words from various languages, but Panjabi speakers almost always change them to native grammar. Panjabi is ਤੱਤਭਵ Tadbhav language. Where meaning and Panjabi grammar is important not its original pronunciation. That shift changes word DNA slightly. Examples: Carrier -ਕੈਰੀਅਲ Mud guard ਮੜਗਾੜ Kagaj- ਕਾਗਤ One day - ਵਾਂਢੇ Urdu wale must understand that if words from Farsi, Arabic, Turkic are in original form then they remain from those languages. It can be understood from Panjabi, where word can trace etymology to origin word but they become new word (in most cases). The English word juggernaut derives etymologically from Jagannath. However, due to the significant shift in its meaning and its absence in Indic languages, it became an English word. No such thing can be noticed in Urdu. Urdu is ਤੱਤਸਮ Tatsam language. Where meaning and pronunciation stays same as original. If word stay same as parent language it can’t be called Urdu word.

@singhafied 1)NO,,I Think i will pass, you neither have basic intellect or argumentative mature logic. By the way, many historical linguists and etymologists spend their careers studying "dead" languages (like Proto-Indo-European) that no one alive can actually speak..

@void_3278 You told me you don’t want to communicate in Panjabi . For me it means you don’t know Panjabi What’s point of discussing Panjabi when you can’t understand Just you get to plant paddy in Panjab doesn’t mean you are Panjabi scholar

@singhafied and-Punjabi is more tadbhav + deshaj heavy because it remained more oral/regional languages for longer, with less rigid literary standardization until recently. underwent more natural phonetic erosion and semantic shifts typical of spoken Prakrit to modern indo-aryan.What abt it?
