@Luca6e Its more due to the player count being so low that the game has to pair you with people out of your area so everywhere is having the same problem

Destiny wasn't divisive sure people would have loved more halo from them but to them the story was over after 3 and they had been advertising destiny slowly.
Marathon is an extraction shooter that already gives it a niche market to work with mix in d2 general lack of feed back/discontent, the art controversy, arc raiders came out before marathon and that marathon players trying to get their game numbers up is a perfect storm of disaster for marathon.

Marathon players need to realize a few things. The game already had a bad rep due to plagiarizing and delays, if it came out before AR it would have done better. A few review bombs (which I'm against) isn't killing your game. It was bleak before Destiny got shut down.

@aiiygatorz Ive seen a lot of posts from marathon players say support marathon or play marathon instead if you want d3. While yes the hate is overblown marathon before release got wrapped up in controversy with stolen art and released after arc raiders that didnt have the same problems

It 100% is. I live by it’s a game not meant for everyone. But if they add PvE, add more and more things then maybe it can be a game for more and more. Art wise and more it’ll not appeal to everyone. I pray we get some Destiny 3 news or something soonish. But if Marathon gets this much hate… then I’m fearing both may die and Bungie dissolves into Sony studios.

As you say the money speaks and there wasnt interest in marathon like destiny had and they should have been developing d3 while marathon kept the community going as a side project but since we know that multiple attempts at pitching d3 failed marathon wont make the money to sustain bunige

1. Cuts out an early game for new lights making it harder to grow the community
2. Cuts out large portions of the story and the game like the red war campaign and forsaken gutting the light portion of the light and darkness saga

While I do agree the hate is unwarranted its not coming from no where.
For years bungie had basically ignore the community and now they are suddenly responsive not to destiny but to marathon.
While I get due to the nature of marathon they have to communicate with the community there to keep it active treating marathon like they wont eventually have the exact same problems as destiny. Especially with destiny gone they will move a worse microtransaction model onto marathon due to its lower player base
