@natemixing This is probably one of the best things I've learned so far making music. It's like ur hacking the mainframe
English

🎚️ Make low end louder without increasing level.
To increase the perceivable amount of low end without actually turning it up, saturate your kick/bass with second and third harmonics. For example, "Analog" mode in Ozone Exciter does exactly that.
That's a psychoacoustic trick and it utilizes how our brain processes harmonics. Give it a try.

@RamonPang homie zero point just sent me an insane 100 BPM tune the other day. I think 2026 is the year to move slowly from 140 into 100

I know Twitter is Twitter but seeing how people are talking to someone who’s not only a trap icon but has literal pop hits under his belt is fucking insane to me 💀 y’all really just get on this app to talk

@natemixing We stan upward compression ❤️
English

🎚️ What is upward compression?
When we do basic compression, we reduce the level when it's above a certain threshold, making loud moments quieter. Upward compression is pretty much the opposite.
It is a technique that is also used to reduce the dynamic range of a signal, but in this case, by raising the volume of the quieter parts without significantly affecting the louder parts. This makes the softer sounds more audible while maintaining the overall balance.
It's particularly useful when you don't want to affect the transients but you need to bring up the RMS and make the audio more consistent.
