If fandom is getting to you, I highly recommend writing fic healings. Honestly, posting telenovela-style stories on AO3 is doing wonders for my joie de vivre. The fact that some of you choose to praise mediocre media while nitpicking the best show on TV is truly not my problem.

@vampiresslestat Reminds me of the “kill me again - how me the only way you know how to love,” line in this scene. Louis himself knows that he struggles to show love outside of violence and I imagine that Lestat would have gathered some insight into that while they were together 😭

maybe in lestat’s mind louis feeling passionate enough to say i hate you was like a love confession. he grew up believing violence, hate, any reaction that wasn’t cold indifference, could be a substitute or form of love since he never experienced actual warmth or affection.
