@JustinTimeJLew Congrats man! I work in commercial information security. Got my CISSP the other month but wanted to ask if cleared roles are usually onsite/hybrid? I’m fully remote right now and I kinda don’t wanna lose that especially as I know I’ll be moving around, TIA!

Literally got a call this morning and the recruiter told me that the range I gave them was lower than the one they have set…Lord knows how much I would be grateful for this opportunity and they are offering to sponsor a clearance!

Recruiter called me and offered $30/hr for a hybrid position. I simply stated that I make $120,000+ remote and they apologized for calling me with such a low offer 🤣🤣🤣

How to get a job as an AI Engineer: AI engineering is one of those fields where it's actually easier to get a job through non-traditional paths a lot of founders building products need AI engineers (they want to integrate AI, train models, and build new products on top of it) so here's my workflow for getting a job as an AI engineer: 1: Build your personal brand on X this should be your main platform follow AI startup founders, reply to them, post valuable content, show your thinking and value 2: Build presence on LinkedIn or GitHub these are more traditional platforms but if you build your own product and it gets traction on GitHub, that's already way stronger than "work experience in a company" 3: Share knowledge in Discord communities OpenAI community, OpenClaw, LangChain (anything directly related to AI engineering) this is where real people hang out and opportunities appear cheat-codes to stand out and get into the top 1%: 1. Build in public show what you're building and how CVs are outdated, people hire those who can build fast, solve problems, train and optimize models 2. Focus on features and exposure study competitor products, understand what works use this knowledge when pitching, it proves you understand the market 3. Do free audits before calls before jumping on a call with a potential client, break down their architecture show what you think is happening and what you would improve (this can also be turned into content on X) 4. Specialize narrowly don't just be "AI engineer" pick a niche: automation, AI agents, infra, etc. this makes you much easier to position 5. Show measurable results metrics matter (money especially) if your work saved or made money, that's what goes into your "CV” main insight: this is a new profession, traditional "work experience" doesn't matter as much what matters is real skill, understanding, and practical experience forget chasing top company interviews right now you have a much better opportunity: - build in public - grow your brand - become visible - potentially earn even more one more thing: everything in this field moves insanely fast what’s relevant today may be outdated in a year and in two years completely irrelevant so "experience" doesn't matter your real skill is adaptability + learning fast + constant practice adapt or die.

@juan_snow1 You won’t need anymore but I said the same and just got CISM and probably get CRISC just for the fuck of it. No employer to impress just in it for the love of the game.

We're in a weird period right now. - Juniors can't get hired because "we need experience." - Seniors are getting laid off because "AI can do it cheaper." - Mid-levels are doing the work of 3 people. And somehow every company is still "struggling to find talent."

Department of War is calling
Rayane@RayaneRachid_

I'm completely speechless.. I just vibecoded a combat flight simulator in just 2 weeks all working in the browser. You can play it here : ciwsimulator.com Here is how I did it : • React Three Fiber as the base, basically a React wrapper around Three.js to handle the scene declaratively • drei for all the helpers (useGLTF, Sky, Environment etc) • WebGPU renderer for perf, NOT WebGL • All visual effects built with TSL (Three Shading Language), node-based shaders, zero handwritten GLSL • Everything in TypeScript I used GPT5.4 xHigh for everything basically, tried Opus but was too buggy. The afterburner, bullets, haze, bloom, the map, everything except the Rafale and CIWS is AI generated. Anyone can create their own game now

@amberlytics What really made me know if I needed work or not on a specific topic was using the CISSP OSG and doing the questions. That helped me a lot

I want to share a quick thought for people in cyber security. This will be my longest tweet ever. I’ve spoken to many lately who are having an existential crisis from the constant posts about “the end of cybersecurity jobs.” Yes, things are changing quickly. This is a significant moment for the tech industry. Change can be uncomfortable. But we’ve seen cycles like this before. • When GitHub and open source took off, people said software engineers would disappear because code was free. • When AWS and cloud computing emerged, people said infrastructure jobs would vanish. • When fuzzing and SAST tools improved, people said vulnerability research would disappear. • Virtualization would eliminate infrastructure jobs. • Mobile computing was going to end desktop dev. • Exploit mitigations would end exploitability. It didn't. Each time automation improved, the amount of software grew faster than the automation. It does feel "different" this time as it's explosive. Some roles will shrink: • repetitive pentesting • basic vulnerability scanning • tier-1 SOC monitoring But other areas are expanding rapidly: • AI system security • supply chain security • identity architecture • autonomous agent security • critical infrastructure protection Historically, every time we eliminate one class of bugs, new classes emerge. Right now people are vibe-coding entire systems, giving AI access to their machines, crossing trust boundaries, and deploying autonomous agents with excessive permissions. The legal and regulatory world is nowhere close to ready. There will absolutely be new failure modes. Humans are amazing and always adapt, finding new ways to do things. The worst thing you can do right now is fall into a doom loop. ...and I’ll be honest, I too have felt the "psychological paralysis" a few times thinking, “Is this time different?” It's especially impactful when it comes from someone I respect in the community. There are certainly unknowns, in an industry where we've become accustomed to predictability. But... the majority of those reactions are usually driven by social media, not reality. Platforms like X reward engagement, and sensational doom posts spread faster than measured thinking. If you see something like: “Holy #$%^! Opus 66.6 just found every bug in Chrome and replaced 50 startups!” …mute it and move on. Instead: Stay curious. Learn the new technology. Adapt your skillsets. Build things. We’ll get through this transition the same way we always have. If I'm wrong then Sam Altman better be right about UBI! :) I'm sure that if this tweet gets any engagement that I'll get some heat for it, but a good friend of mine reminds me often to focus on what you have control over. I'll revisit this tweet at DEF CON 40!
