@skynetbuffering @silkiecarlo @Apple what about Starmer's government is not heading towarns a system identical to communist China? the state controls access to everything, you will own nothing. the comparison is fine, perhaps you should confirm what marxism is before calling people morons.

🚨I’ve written to urge @Apple to drop the age/ID check demand on the new iOS, which just child-locked tens of millions of phones in the UK. It’s extraordinary censorship, an invasion of privacy + chokehold on access to information. You can read it here: bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/wp-content/upl…

No, its been observed in our own history that giving advanced (to any degree) technology to those who do not develop it themselves, will often lead to larger negative outcomes. The principal of the Prime Directive is sound, what seems to be the issue with Robert's opinion is hes been tainted by current left aligned ideals who believe everyone should have everything for nothing. Thus the accountability and blame for the negatives would be missing as it is with the left today already. The non-interference of less developed beings subject is also handled near perfectly in The Orville, to a degree in Babylon 5 in expanded lore too, even Kryptonian's (Superman) had this premise of not unaturally advancing a less developed civilization. Stargate SG-1 covers this well from multiple angles too, while the Tau'ri try to obtain advanced technology for defense against the Goa'uld and others, its shown that sudden advance even of someone good natured (Daniel Jackson) could give in to the power such advancements give. The Asgard, The Nox and the Tollan, all refrain from sharing until they believe the recipient is mature enough to handle the responsibility of such technology. The Asgard however, do later give their entire knowledge base to the Tau'ri to act as their Legacy, to learn from their failures which led to their collective demise. I'll stick to my premise that the principal of the Prime Directive is sound, its not perfect though, but Robert is applying current left aligned viewpoints that go against the spirit of the Directive. All in all, hes an actor and has no place to try and shape viewpoints of anyone. Entertain not indoctrinate lets keep it that way.

Star Trek: Voyager actor Robert Beltran on how the Prime Directive is ridiculous: "The idea of leaving any species to die in its own filth when you have the ability to help them, just because you wanna let them get through their normal evolutionary processes is bunk -- it's a bunch of fascist crap. I much prefer the Cub Scout motto." Is he correct?

Seems that I've managed to get myself blocked by some people on here and other platforms for having an opinion that differs to theirs... All good, doesn't matter that I have those opinions/views, but I never force them on anyone... becuase I accept the truth, people can have differing viewpoints... but by blocking me it shows they are too immature for respectful discussion, so I'm taking that as I'm better off without them... current total; 6 :)

I have no issue with this as an option, but it should be presented as a categorized option base. 1) solid colors 2) gradients 3) flags 4) custom The default should be the most neutral option possible free of agenda/origin/ideology. Forcing it is the problem. Fundamentally, your OS is a tool, not a reflection of your sexual identity, lets leave it that way by default.

That looks like a ceremonial blade, no Sikh would ever use it. However, I cannot dispute the comment that he has put on video the intent to self defence with a weapon. Something that is illegal in the UK. However, he is not required to sell halal products if he does not want to, the local outrage which has turned violent already before should not go unpunished either. Appreciate the source being cited, more information is always needed for a concise response.

@RashidRants @ksorbs Can you cite your source? But what have the locals been doing since the non halal signage went up? Far Worse, all on video too. Yet nothing happens to them, two tier policing yet again and a sell out to appease a rabble who resepect no one.

@Floki_Vt I saw this day of launch on Netflix here in the uk… and to say I was impressed with it would be an understatement. It was also top on movies here too. I’m kinda hoping they’re setting up for a sequel but I’m fine if they don’t, the mystery continues to intrigue me…

Well I'll be damned. Netflix actually made a decent movie....War Machine. I mean if I was nitpicky there are definitely "This is what civvies think the military is like" moments... But overall a good flick. A solid military vs alien machine movie.

One of the reasons I do not stream on Twitch anymore is that the platform is favoring depravity content over gaming/genuine content. People chastized Kick when it started, but at least they were/are clear on what is allowed and what isn't. Meanwhile, twitch partners who call for violence on stream are banned 'permanently' then unbanned a few days later... the adpocalypse also shows its a potentially dying platform, more ads proves less revenue, so they push even more ads. which pushes even more users away. last ditch effort... "subscribe to remove all ads from every channel!" which didnt go down well... its more than evident twitch has a cashflow issue. the selling out to goonerism is likely a further last ditch effort to bring cash in... coming soon; 'OnlyTwitch'

The only way Alan Tudyk could reprise his role would be if this was set before the events of Serenity or they decanonize the movie entirely... which has issues. A prequel, means River and Simon can't really be involved... so problems with either approach... maybe a large expansion of pre serenity events? but still highly restricted on the how to get everyone back on board...

Appreciate the well rounded and reasonable definition of the hypothetical implementation for tackling this issue... I would fully support the UAE style conditional residence system being introduced, it seems MILES ahead of what is and has been in place in the UK for decades. its hard to say, but seriously Britain needs something new. Something untarnished, and like it or not, the existing parties are all but lost in corruption or power grabbing.

FINALLY! A political party that is taking on Digital ID head on. People need to know, Digital ID is NOT over and Reform will never deal with this. As @SarahForRuncorn Reform MP moronically said: "I personally don't have a problem with an ID card...I don't see what the issue is." Reform are not to be trusted. If you want the right to live OFFLINE and freely then get behind @RestoreBritain_
Rupert Lowe MP@RupertLowe10

Restore Britain’s policy on Digital ID is clear - it is one of the most dangerous shifts in the relationship between the individual and the state in modern British history. A compulsory Digital ID has been temporarily halted, not permanently scrapped - this is important to remember. Through systems like Gov UK One Login, millions of people are being pushed into a centralised identity system just to access basic services or operate a business. Company directors are being told to comply or lose the ability to function as a LTD company. This is unacceptable. We are already seeing the expansion into digital wallets, digital driving licences, digital veteran cards and even schemes for children. If you can control identity, you can control access to services, to work, to travel, to participation in everyday life. To vote. I detest it. That is the direction of travel. And it must be stopped. A Restore Britain Government would end the mission creep of a surveillance state and allow people to easily live offline if they choose to do so. We will scrap mandated enforcement of One Login and allow people to opt out fully, with a clear and reliable offline alternative using physical documentation. We will guarantee that every citizen can access public services without digital verification. No one will be excluded, penalised, or locked out for choosing to live offline. There will be no discrimination. Freedom of choice will be restored. We will repeal the expansion of digital ID through the children and wellbeing schools bill legislation where NHS numbers are being converted into lifelong Digital IDs. The state has no right to build lifelong tracking systems for children. We will oppose mandatory ID or biometric verification for accessing the internet. People must be free to speak, engage, and participate online without being forced to identify themselves. We will end centralised data control. No single system should hold the keys to a person’s identity and access to society. Restore Britain will end facial recognition in public spaces. We will roll back mass surveillance. The British public are not suspects or walking barcodes. We will respect our veterans and not use them as guinea pigs to trial digital ID through digital veteran cards. And most importantly, we will protect your right to live offline. No government should be able to force digital ID onto the British people. In a free country - you should not need permission, a login, or a digital profile to exist. Restore Britain will defend that principle. We will protect your right to live lawfully, freely and privately. There is now a serious political party willing to draw a line and say enough is enough. Restore Britain.

Nvidia broadcast based audio devices are immune to this, if you have the option of using broadcast, I would suggest do so. True, this doesn't help non RTX users, but all windows users are aware microsoft have moved to applying the settings they want over what you want. It's why I'm going back to windows 10 LTSC, no AI BS and no unfettered changes. Once support ends there, I will likely go Linux, and hope by then (~2031 ish) that nvidia support linux 100%.

If your mic has been sounding ultra terrible lately, it might not be you — Windows recently enabled audio enhancements on all my microphones. You might want to turn this off. My last 7 YouTube videos were ruined because Microsoft decided to turn this on without telling me. Thanks @Videophile for the assist.
