Tulsa City Councilors Push Massive Power Grab! City councilors Lori Decter Wright and Laura Bellis (all councilor opponents are facists) are trying to push forward to an public vote a costly new bureaucracy that would seize subpoena power oversight of police, fire, and other departments. A politically appointed head made by the mayor over a new taxpayer-funded department costing over $500,000 — to be layered on top of what we already have (internal and legal). Looks like Vanessa Hall Harper and Jackie Dutton already joined them. Decter Wright threatened in the Public Works meeting on Wednesday this will not go away. They’re also trying to ram through four other permanent charter amendments that would give themselves a fat raise and strip the mayor of the final say on certain appointments, handing it to the council. Thankfully, more reasonable councilors — including Bush and Bengel — are pushing back, demanding real answers. Result? These power plays are dead for the August ballot, it seems. They might try November… or slink off to 2027. Pay attention Tulsa! Tulsa doesn’t need more bureaucrats or self-serving politicians. It needs more pushback. Glad to see it show up.

Oklahoma! Say NO to more taxes! Creek County just got another 3% tax increase. Now Central Tech District 3 is wanting to more money from us. They want to max out on the mills allowed by statute on bldg fund.
