@B1OBEY0ND Your point, as I understand it, is that 5* players don’t make up the majority of the draft picks. This isn’t because of the value of development. It’s because there are so few 5* players. Or put another way, a 5* has a much better chance to be drafted than a 3*.

Good morning 🌞 Here are some facts for those fixated on "star" ratings when evaluating recruits. - Over the last five drafts, 30% of first rounders taken were three stars in college. - Historically, 35% of first round NFL draft picks were rated 3 stars of lower coming out of high school. - In 2022, 9 of the 32 first round picks were 3 stars, (37.5%) plus 3 more were 2 star/unranked players. 1 of every 3 first rounds picks were NOT Blue Chip recruits. 5 Star: 20-30% 4 Star: 30-40% 3 Star: 25-35% 2 Star/Unranked: 5-10% It's about development & fit. "Stars" can be a good indicator, bit without the right fit, utilization & development it doesn't matter.
