Boomers enjoyed the real magic of compounding man. Buy land for Rs. 50,000 in 1992 in some haunted outer ring of the city where the only landmark was one paan shop and two buffaloes. Wake up in 2026 and it is "New Airport Growth Corridor Phase 3" worth Rs. 15 crore. Buy one month’s salary worth of a pharma stock because some broker uncle said "company allopathic dawai bechti hai." Forget the share certificate in an almirah. Wake up and it is enough to retire into respectable upper-middle-class unclehood. Now we are here, getting disciplined middle-class advice to invest Rs. 30,000 per month in SIPs so that by 2060 we can pay private hospital bills, buy one decent air purifier, and live in a 900 sq ft apartment called "The Grand Versailles Heights" next to a sewage drain.
R@AlphaWizarDD

If you bought 300 shares of Dr. Reddy's at ₹8 each in 1992, Your ₹2,400 investment in 1992 is now worth ₹8.25 crore. Power of investing... Insane wealth 🤑

I pay tax at 35% rate and you are saying bharat in desho main hai jahan sabse kam tax lagta hai. Give me 30 mins of your time and I will show you my pay slips. These babus ministers keep fooling you with tax rates below 12L. It increases drastically and goes up to 39%

People keep pushing the idea that paying an extra EMI every year will magically reduce your home loan tenure. Sure, it helps, but the real game changer is increasing your income. If your income grows well, you’ll naturally be able to prepay bigger amounts and close the loan much faster. The focus shouldn’t just be on tiny hacks it should also be on building stronger earning power.

Mahindra, as usual you don’t respond. I’ve also heard that you’re planning to take me to court for a defamation case that’s absolutely fine, you’re welcome. But this time, you need to answer this. What could be a bigger scam than selling cars that have already been in accidents, repairing them, and then passing them off as brand new to customers? How can a company operate at such a level? Your dealerships seem completely careless and fearless. Imagine the heartbreak of a customer who buys a “new” car, only to later discover it was already accidental. I will be sharing the owner’s details soon and I expect immediate action: deliver a genuinely new car and take strict action against the showroom and dealer involved. And for customers always make sure you are physically present during the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection). Never skip it. Unfortunately, many people still don’t even know what PDI is, and that’s where the problem begins! 🙏🏻

If use & throw is the parameter for cars in this consumerism-driven market, then for 8–10 years ownership and 70:30 usage, EVs are the best bet especially with home charging. Even if brands find ways to avoid giving a battery replacement, the first battery itself should easily last 3 lakh+ km in modern EVs without much fuss. Better than petrol & diesel in 2026.

@NikunjJajodia I’d say 3 nights. I spent most of my stay on the main island in the Flamingo King with Balcony & did a night off-island in the Manor Suite. If your goal is to unwind, take in the palace vibes, enjoy fab F&B, catch the evening qawwali & sneak in some pool time, you’ll love it!

I found a strange income tax anamoly. If your taxable income increases from 50 lakhs to 51 lakhs, you pay upto 104% tax on that 1 lakh! Tax Liability at 50 lakhs = 11.23 lakh Tax Liability at 51 lakhs = 12.27 lakh Tax Increase = 1.04 lakh Tax (1.04L) > Income Increase (1L)

@gurjota This is true - marginal relief applies on the overall tax, but that 4% Cess leads to higher overall tax. I would guess similar behavior occurs at all the threshold points. 1 Cr to 1.01 Cr, 2 Cr to 2.01 Cr etc...

Sri Lanka ends MP pension to help economic condition of the country. In India, if country is in economic problems, our MP MLA will ask public to give away subsidy or add additional tax on public while they themselves keep enjoying multiple pensions & allowance

The galgotia fraud is not even 1% as compared to the FM. Even after changing slabs 12 times, tax payers are paying more tax in 2026 than 2014. Tax should be reduced for those who pay taxes like 5L, 10L, 20L, 30L, 50L but she is reducing tax for people who are paying 50k tax.

I got asked, Are you HNI? How are you buying expensive stuff on just salary? 😄 Not HNI. Normal salaried guy. Married with Kid. One rule that I strictly follow : If you can’t plan it, you can’t spend it. 🛵 ₹1.25L scooter — planned 1 year back. Bonus parked in Liquid fund. Timed with Axis Atlas card renewal. No impulse. 🛍️ Shopping kitty — when it’s over, shopping stops. Monthly budget. 📱 iPhone every ~3 yrs — ₹5K/month Gadget SIP. Pay first. Spend later. No EMIs. 🚗 Car upgrade (2029 target) — ₹7k/month SIP + resale value. No lifestyle inflation. ✈️ Separate domestic & international travel funds. Small allocation every month. I don’t spend, then figure it out. I figure it out → fund it → then spend. From outside it looks effortless. Behind it? months of planning. You don’t need HNI status. You need clarity, time & discipline. Plan it. Fund it. Then buy it. How do you plan/ fund your big ticket expenses ?
