Disgraceful experience with @ixigo. I paid ₹12,616 in CASH for my trip, but since the tickets weren't confirmed, they’re only returning ₹9,540 to my original payment mode. They’re forcing a "voucher" on me that expires in just 7 days. I paid in full, and I want my full refund

@ixigotrains A "partially confirmed" ticket for a group is a total deficiency in service. One seat is useless if the other two travelers cannot go. Terms & Conditions cannot be used to bypass statutory consumer rights or the contractual obligations created by your own bold advertisements.

@CCPA Guidelines (2022), Specifically state that disclaimers must not contradict the primary claim made in the advertisement. Marketing a "3X Refund" and then using fine print to deny it because of a "partial confirmation" is a direct contradiction of the material claim. @ixigo

@ixigotrains In the advertisement it’s not mentioned, it is mentioned at the bottom of your terms and conditions that too in smaller font size. I asked you why Confirmed Tickets or 3x refund is highlighted and why the refund will not be initiated if partially confirmed, is not?

@ixigotrains The initial leg of our trip could not be undertaken because the tickets were not confirmed by your end. The tickets were specifically booked under your "Confirmed Tickets or 3x refund plan". Despite opting for this premium protection,the entire trip has being cancelled.

@ixigotrains When the confirmation depends on indian railways then why do you advertise that you will provide Confirmed Tickets or 3x refund ? When you yourself are claiming that the seat allocation are confirmed by indian railways and not by you then why do you promise of guaranteed trip?

@ixigotrains A disclaimer hidden behind a link or in a multi-page document does not override an absolute, unqualified marketing claim like "Confirmed Tickets or 3X Refund”. For disclaimer to work, it usually needs to be clear and conspicuous(it should not be hidden in the terms & conditions)

@ixigotrains @ixigo Improving 'touchpoints' is great for the future, but I’m focused on the present. Your marketing hook is 'Confirmed tickets or 3x refund.' I didn't get the tickets, so I am legally/contractually entitled to the 3x refund. Let's skip the PR talk and settle the claim.

@ixigotrains This response is unacceptable. A refund of the premium does not satisfy the contractual obligation created by your '3x Refund Plan' advertisement. You failed to provide confirmed tickets; therefore, the liability is the 3x refund promised at the time of booking.@ixigotrains

@ixigotrains There is nothing appropriate about failing to honor an advertised guarantee you marketed a 3x refund plan, not ‘refund of the plan fee’ plan. Returning my own money is not a resolution; it’s a refund of a service you didn’t provide. I am holding you to your advertised commitment.

@ixigotrains Denying this entirely. You cannot market a '3X Refund' and then claim 'transparency' while refusing to actually refund the 3x amount to the source. Hiding restrictive conditions in the fine print while marketing a 3X benefit is the definition of a misleading advertisement @ixigo
