@Joerg_Rieger and George Schmidt travelled to Zimbabwe to attend and present at DARE! They are connecting with our international partners and presenting on “How Liberation Theologies Can Liberate Again” Joerg stated, "[I'm] grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with so many international scholars." We hope to showcase these connections and relationships in our Solidarity Circles as we develop them on an international scale, rather than solely limited to our United States audience. As described on the Council for World Mission's website, "The fifth Discernment and Radical Engagement (DARE) Global Forum commenced on 27 January in Harare, Zimbabwe. The first DARE forum to take place in Africa brings together 130 participants under the theme “Aftermath: Beyond Liberation,” to explore and transform theological paradigms inspired by liberation theology, addressing biases, traditions, and responsibilities."

“I couldn’t help but reflect on the human and spiritual value of something as simple as a phone call to or from home—those small gestures of connection that remind you that you are not alone in this world.” – @YNPierce christiancentury.org/voices/phoning…

"I am convinced that there is a point at which leaving is a more faithful act than remaining. It is possible to stay in a place so long that your own integrity is compromised and you begin to accept the unacceptable" Yolanda Pierce on leaving. bit.ly/3SdnJhe
