Vulcan

So I mentioned last week a company reached out to send me to NFT NYC. The extremely kind folks over at @VulcanAuth and @premint are the ones who are sponsoring me! I don't usually do paid tweets or anything and haven't been sponsored before, but Vulcan is a tool I use in a lot of servers I work with and I actually do love their product. If you don't know what Vulcan does, it is a Discord bot that allows you to grant a Discord role to anyone who holds your NFT. This lets you make holder only channels/exclusive spaces. This process is usually generally called token gating. If you're looking for a token gating bot and want the short pitch on what makes Vulcan awesome, there are two main features I tell people about: 1. Vulcan pioneered the 'signless' token verification gate. This paired with PREMINT's general ethos of reducing token signatures in Web3 I think should be a major security focus in the space. I think because Vulcan started as a more secure option they keep a heavy focus on user security. 2. User data. If you're a CM, Vulcan by far gives you the most data about who is getting past your token gate and with what tokens they're using to verify. This can help marketers see what types of engagement is working and really can help making marketing decisions. Also knowing which tokens are being used to bypass the token gate can help make your server more secure as well. You can't blacklist tokens being used by scammers. Otherwise they could cycle the same NFT across 40 different Discord accounts to continuously scam your community. I'll be chatting about Vulcan a lot while I'm in NYC too!
