It’s, however, a worse interface at most tasks, only still relevant because it’s easier for the developers to not learn design.

I have never seen any gui offer such a thing because barely anyvody needs that.
It technically is a very short script, but then every single cli command would be scripting.

For instance I often need to rename a lot of files in nested directories by a pattern. With cli, that's a matter of seconds and much easier to develop.

You can't script a GUI though. If you're a professional tech worker you need to know how to build up pipelines and scripts on the commandline to get things done quickly.

@0xIlyy No, not really. Cli is a normal interface with it's pros and cons like any other. It's extremely quick and easy to develop for and generally has way less bloat and overhead. It's often faster, not always worth it. Some use cases are not commn enough to justify messing with GUI.
