@Tina_Hokwana Disappointed that UNISA did not respond positively. While reading I thought to myself the court also ought to be blamed. Understanding of course the role of the court in admissions matters and that the court itself was misled, but there could be stricter scrutiny of the papers.

My teenage nephew told me he asked a girl out and she turned him down. I said, "You know what to do now, right?" He said, "I know I know keep trying" and I said "NO. LEAVE HER ALONE. She gave you an answer." He was shocked. NO ONE had told him that before. TEACH. YOUR. BOYS.

We will surely have difficult times, how we arm ourselves is by acknowledging that so that when they do come, we are not surprised but have the grit to deal with them. We may not know what form it will take, but we’ll know that we are not fragile. We are not without tools. Or as Hemingway put it, “The world breaks everyone, and afterward, many are strong at the broken places.”
Strength doesn’t come from pretending things are fine. It comes from enduring. From continuing.
The most important thing in these times is to have strong community, and not fall into the trap of wanting to hide from those we love and who in turn, love us.
You’re not going to die, even if parts of you do. Like Jesus, some things may have to die to make room for what comes next. Resurrection, if we can call it that, only follows something that’s ended.
Big things are coming. And more than that, you will make big things happen, as you always have.

Life is really hard for me at the moment…the hardest it’s ever been. I’m 33…and for some reason, I’ve been thinking a lot about what the scripture says Jesus went through whilst on earth. So MANY trials but also so MANY triumphs. However… Jesus Christ lived every day of His life KNOWING that He was going to be crucified because that was Gods will. He basically lived His entire life on a death sentence. From day 1. If He was like how we are today, He would’ve been so depressed and upset and resentful at that life experience. But He was like God… a purposeful gent. An intentional gent living on a promise. I really hope I don’t die like He did at 33, but I really do want to exist knowing that my experience of life right now is not in vain… it is for the fulfilment of the will of God in some way, shape or form. Life is HARD for a lot of us…but I truly hope you find comfort in the promise of God in psalm 23. Amen 🙏
