Husband cleaned the carpet at the weekend. It looks great, but the whole house smells damp. Tbh it's probably the worst time of year to do it - not warm enough to dry naturally, but not cold enough to put the heating on to dry it

@emilyandmore That’s great, took us ages and we were worried we had a defective one but he got there in the end.

@vwallop She’s getting so much better even with just one day of working in it though.

In an attempt to get her to be happy without me Dotty has had her naps in the lounge with 5live listening the the Ryder Cup. She can confirm it’s been a good day for Europe.

@IP2guy They all had quite a few steps I guess but as soon as I saw 75 and that it was nearly 600 it was just a question of making an 8.

The weather is weird so dressing is tough. It’s my birthday tomorrow and I am going to watch a U15s footy match and then going for brunch with friends in weird weather. Wtf to wear?!

@emilyandmore There are many advantages to this season. Returning home from parties at 2am and not answering texts are the disadvantages.

One kid is home alone looking after the pup, one is out with his mates and getting himself home and I am in primark following the youngest and her friend around holding clothes. I am definitely in a new season of parenting and I am both thrilled and terrified.

@kazza_cupcake Thank you, off to St. Andrew’s for the weekend to drop off the middle one. Just changed our sheets so I’ve got a treat on Sunday night.

After all the months of nerves and anticipation of exam results, it’s dawning on me that having done well, my boy is leaving in about two weeks, some of which he’s spending with his friends.
