Response statement from the people who worked on @VoltaicHQ's Valorant benchmarks with @SkylrBuke.
@CartoonFPS, @lorysXO , @minigodcs
INTRODUCTION
The Valorant benchmarks project was started 7 months ago & involved @cartoonFPS , @minigodcs , Me & later on @lorysXO + @SkylrBuke as the people who thought of Valorant scenarios, created the instructions/descriptions, tested the different scenario versions & set the benchmark scores. LG56 is the scenario creator.
There are other people also involved, for example, creating the graphics, writing posts & creating the Voltaic Web App from scratch (app.voltaic.gg).
This project wasn't actually planned to be released separately but was an extension of the VT Amped program, our coaching that was initially exclusive to tier 1/2 pros in Valorant & others games.
We (us, the coaches) didn't actually plan on having any direct compensation for this as we would be receiving the benefits through the Amped program, this can be confirmed from Cartoon, Mini & anyone else in the Amped program. Valorant benchmarks was only later decided to be released together with different reskin of the Voltaic Web App.
300 HOURS OF WORK
There is no way possible that you've worked 300 hours on this project. @cartoonFPS , @lorysXO , @minigodcs have spent ~30 hours on this individually and it involves brainstorming, thinking of new scenario ideas, recreating scenarios that aren't made on Aim Lab, testing the different scenario versions @lowgravity56 has made and creating the descriptions/benchmarks for each rank.
Where did you spend "~100 hours on brainstorming, 70 hours on rough drafting in Kovaaks"? These numbers are completely made up and none of the other coaches have worked this much on the project, yet they were the ones who created the largest majority of it. You were contributing to the project, but these weren't 300 hours of work or anywhere close to it, your contributions are shown in the project chat, we can delve deeper into this if needed.
Everyone else was sitting in a call and had the initial benchmark scenario ideas done within 4-5 hours of work. Testing took a bit longer, but it was only the individual benchmark drafts.
You spent more hours creating the documentation for the work you've done and this tweet than the work you did on the benchmarks.
PAYMENT
Why didn't you mention that you want to be paid for this initially, there was 0 talk about it and you hadn't expressed anything about this project & getting paid for it. None of the other coaches were expecting to get paid for this specific project due to reasoning I explained in the introduction.
In the end, everyone was paid appropriately for the hours they've worked & every single one of the coaches is completely fine with the payment received for this & the previous projects they've been paid for. All of us can attest to this and no one is making anyone work 300 hours on a project and paying them <2$ per hour.
SINI & VT
@sinizap & @VoltaicHQ have been nothing but great to all of us in terms of compensation, work ethic, our individual issues. VT funds our costs for any personal things we release, for example graphics, editing or any small costs. They give us opportunities to work with brands, get some free merch here and there from testing mice and etc. Work ethic wise, Sini lets us have as much time as needed on projects, giving us ample time to take account for our own free time and life activities. @HotRodRe_ & @sinizap have personally helped me through a major personal struggle I was going through when I was initially signed with VT & have done this for other people as well.
We're not a fan of how @SkylrBuke is misrepresenting VT, capitalizing off a project, that was NOT properly logistically agreed on, no payment or anything from you since the start, and twisting the narrative into your favor to only villainized the rest of the staff. If you properly wanted to do things right from the start, things you seem to be completely aware of, you could have asked for payment or a contract since day one. You only vocalized all this AFTER the project was done, which in our opinion, shows nothing but unprofessionalism and 0 respect for the staff and Sini himself.
