Bitcoin took the two things civilization always loses to fraud, time and money, and fused them into a system that is scarce, global, permissionless, and absurdly hard to corrupt. The wheel moved bodies. The printing press moved ideas. The internet moved information. Bitcoin moves value across time without asking permission from a king, a bank, a state, or some cardigan-wearing compliance ghoul with a risk committee. That is a monstrous civilizational upgrade.
