Here’s your first flamenco guitar lesson—pay attention!
Start with basic posture: guitar on right thigh, left hand relaxed on neck. Right hand: thumb (p) rests on low E, fingers (i m a) curled. Palm-to-finger flicks = rasgueado. Flick index down across strings with loose wrist, then roll m-a-p in a wave. Practice slow, then explosive.
Proper chords: E minor (022000), A minor (x02210), B7 (x21202). Strum with thumb down, fingers up. Direction matters—downstrokes hit on beat 1 & 3, upstrokes on 2 & 4 for compás rhythm.
Add finger taps (golpe): slap soundboard with right palm on off-beats. Now combine: thumb strum down on E minor → palm mute (edge of hand damps strings) → index flick rasgueado → two quick golpes. Repeat on A minor, then B7.
All together—fluid, proud, fiery. Did you catch all that? If not, play it again.
