I am always surprised when they paint the UK healthcare systems as eldorado. I have been working in the same system for 19years. Used to be quite good but the last 10years things has deteriorated really bad. Talk about dentals for Instance, how many people actually has access to NHS dental care? Even the British go to Spain , Turkey and other European countries. I definitely do most of my complex dental care in Nigeria, always plan it on my holidays. Fertility care is another, most people come to Nigeria 🇳🇬 for IVF, I have referred many to Hospitals in Lagos Gp access now is almost impossible in most areas. I recently lost an Aunt that we had to pay £4000 per week for chemotherapy privately within the same UK before she passed. So pray Hard not to fall sick in the UK because you might struggle and suffer needlessly except of course you have private medical insurance so let’s be careful about things we say. UK is good no doubt but certainly not without it’s own huge flaws and challenges too. Given the choice I will pay to have certain care and surgeries in Nigeria than UK . Before you insult me, I was a ward Manager at Imperial college London so I know the system so well and better than some of you

@Arowolo_007 @ronkecarew You are the one who needs to acknowledge the efforts of the Nigerian healthcare system. No one is saying we are better than the UK in terms of healthcare delivery. However, in terms of some services provision, we aren't doing that bad and I dare say we are better than them, yeah.
