@djgist He WAS a hit. A seventh-rounder who not only sticks in the league but plays lots of serviceable snaps for multiple Super Bowl teams is way more than what’s expected from that range. He even arguably outperformed Watson one year. Remember, draft hits are proportional.

The Chiefs hit big on Jaylen Watson in the 7th, L’Jarius Sneed in the 4th and undrafted Charvarius Ward via lowball trade. Now 3rd rounder Nohl Williams looks like their next stud CB. Even Joshua Williams was a solid hit. There’s no reason to pivot away from what’s working and draft corners early — unless somebody slides and the value is so insane they simply cannot pass.
