"Dr. Scarborough said that their study did not examine why women whose work circumstances were the same as their husbands were doing more of the child care."
I have a couple of inklings. (And if it's that 'they go to Mommy first,' why might that be?) 🤦♀️

I had many international colleagues, and many non-Black, non-Indigenous colleagues of color. Institutions need to probe this model minority myth (see "So you Want To Talk About Race" by @IjeomaOluo) and figure out how to better support all BIPOC.

@gavin_mcnicol @GilesPalaeoLab @emsaurios @seis_matters Hey Gavin, we've met a few times at conferences like this. It's important to see this in the context of diversity and inclusion in the sciences. Allies (myself included!) need to be doing the work. Reading this is a good place to start:

@GilesPalaeoLab @emsaurios @seis_matters @GilesPalaeoLab I honestly don’t think it’s appropriate to comment about that on here. What is your point?

A lot of other people have been speaking up about this, notably @DrKateMarvel, (drillednews.com/post/i-am-a-ma…).
