After a thorough review of the documents I have concluded that Witness Two (Wilde), the main source of the complaint, concocted the "quid pro quo" and thus in effect the impeachment hoax. Vindman (Witness One) doesn't mention the freezing of military assistance, etc. thus no quo.

"The Memorandum of Conversation" is the only document that portrays Vindman's contemporary reaction to the call given he wasn't interviewed by Atkinson. Where is it? Furthermore, Ciaramella only let Wilde know he was filing his complaint, they both hid behind Vindman. Revisit it.

@codyave @joyofsiam2 Pretty sure Phares was investigated quite throughly by SCO. 2 proffers in Dec and a 3rd in Jan. Also pretty sure he was “surreptitiously recorded” (or maybe w his knowledge) in meetings in Oct and Nov. Plus some FISA classification markings. Obv can’t say all that for sure though

So there was a phone call between “an individual associated with foreign intelligence and a person close to Donald Trump”; there is literally no other description of the call itself in the article, the reader is just supposed to assume something nefarious. Even though this same description of a call could be attributed to at least half the residents of DC, and to 100% of Congress. And I’m not being hyperbolic.
