Essentially WB wants Dune 3 to make more than Dune 2. It's not about competing with Doomsday. Keep in mind Dune 1 was released day/date on HBO Max and in theaters due to Covid. They needed high streaming numbers and to break even at the box office to get Dune 2 greenlit.

It's actually mad how Central Cee and Ed Sheeran have been low key beefing over just €750k. Cench saw that as straight up betrayal and pure greed, especially since they were already deep into working on a joint album together. Now he's deleted all the tracks they had in the works.
