@erichovind Your Faith is bound to a collection of books, manuscripts, and letters written by Bronze and Iron Age men, who quite frankly knew very little about the wider world around them. It was a way of explaining things they were not in a position to understand. Knowledge has moved on.

That’s not a definition. That’s propaganda. You are being fed a caricature of faith because if people actually understood biblical faith, the atheist argument falls apart. Biblical faith is not blind belief. It is trust grounded in evidence, reason, history, eyewitness testimony, logic, and experience. Ironically, it is the atheists who exercise "blind faith" all the time: • Faith that life came from non-life. • Faith that order came from chaos. • Faith that consciousness came from chemicals. • Faith that morality exists in a purposeless universe. Christianity is not asking people to shut off their brains, it is asking them to follow the evidence wherever it leads. And the evidence points to the Creator God.

@AnswersCanada Your God is supposedly Omnipotent. Why did it take 6 days? Who decided on 6 Days? And then required a rest!! Is your God so weak and incompetent that it couldn't merely create everything instantly from a single thought? Then It created Humans, with flaws!!

The Bible clearly states that God created everything in six literal days, so Adam was obviously created within a few days of every kind of creature God created.

@StandswithGod Ok let's look logically at the Biblical Creation. Your God that is supposedly Omnipotent, took 6 Days to make the Universe. Why take so long if It was omnipotent? Secondly your God required Dust and Ash to create Adam, again why? Is Omnipotence so lacking?

Scripture says that Adam was the first man. God gives us the age of Adam, and the ages of generations after. From that we can easily extrapolate. that the earth is around 6,000 to 10,000 years old, and much of science backs this up as well.

Actually, God gave us the Bible. This semantic distinction is important because a) your claim is provably false and b) your claim is a prideful one, elevating the work of man over God’s. You speak as though God ought to thank you for elevating the RCC to such heights.

He didn’t need that but chose to do it that way. He certainly has a patterned style of using the imperfect. Come to think of it, nobody is perfect but Jesus. But He used the imperfect to show us His Grace and Power. With man it’s not possible. With God, all things are possible.

@AiG Why would a Supernatural, Omnipotent, Omniciant, Omnipresent being, need 6 days? Surely being Omnipotent it would have had the power to do it all instantly, and the Omniciance to know exactly how it would turn out before it even began! Unless it's neither Omnipotent nor Omniciant
